Summary of proposed materials and equipment (manufacturer, catalog number or
model, and description) and method of application or use, including but not
limited to encapsulants, wetting agents, personal protective equipment, and test
samples of all proposed materials for performing the Work. This includes, but 1s
not limited to copies of DOP certifications for negative air machines in

Summary of workforce by disciplines, and a notarized statement documenting that
all proposed workers, by name, have received all required medicals and have been
properly trained in asbestos removal work, respirator use, and appropriate State of
New Hampshire, EPA & OSHA standards. The Contractor shall submit to the
Engineer the following items at least three days prior to individual workers being
allowed to work on the project (Submittal #2B):

44. Wet Cleaning: The process of eliminating Asbestos contamination from
underground utilities and other surfaces and objects by using cloths, mops, or
other cleaning utensils which have been dampened with amended water or diluted
removal encapsulant and afterwards thoroughly decontaminated or disposed of as
Asbestos contaminated waste.

Non-friable Asbestos Containing Material: Asbestos-Containing Material that
cannot be crumbled, pulverized or reduced to powder by hand pressure.

Project Designer: An individual who has successfully completed the training
requirements for an abatement Project Designer established by 40 CFR 763.

Encapsulant: A material that surrounds or embeds Asbestos fibers in an adhesive
matrix, to prevent release of fibers.

Fixed Items: Equipment, furniture, radiators, or other objects which cannot be
removed from the Work Area.

Friable Asbestos-Containing Material: Asbestos-Containing Material that can be
crumbled, pulverized, or reduced to powder by hand pressure.

Class II Asbestos Work: Activities involving the removal of ACM which ts not
thermal system insulation or surfacing material. This includes, but 1s not limited

Amended Water or Wetting Agent: Water to which a surfactant has been added
in proportion of at least one ounce surfactant to five gallons water.
