Purchase of a Six Wheel Cab and Chassis Truck

To approve the purchase of a 2020 HV507 SFA (HV507) Cab and Chassis Truck
from Libeity International of Manchester, NH for the price of $88,785. Funding
will be through Department: 177 Parks & Recreation; Fund: Trust; Activity:
CERF.

Quote sheet.

Truck 11-637 is a six-wheel dump truck that is on the CERF schedule for
replacement in FY20. This truck is currently unrepairable and was taken off the
road last fall. This truck had major electrical and engine issues and is currently
scheduled to be sent to the state auction. This vehicle is the main plow truck for
the Kinsley and Temple Street routes and is also used in the French Hill route and
in the 14 schools that we maintain. The truck has extensive frame rust and high
engine hours (7,193 = 115,790 miles) for a municipal plow truck.

Liberty International of Manchester, NH provided a quote based off of the State
of New Hampshire bid for a cab and chassis at a price of $88,785.

In addition, the purchase of International brand trucks (vs. another brand) will
enable the Division to continue standardization of the fleet and maintenance
items needed for stock.
