Please see the attached communication from William Mansfield, Radio Systems Manager dated July 17,
2017 for information related to this purchase.

Pursuant to § 5-84 Special purchase procedures A. (3) Purchases which can be procured through
cooperative intergovernmental purchase agreements with other governmental jurisdictions.

Nashua Fire Rescue, Radio Systems Manager, Radio Committee and the Purchasing Department

recommend the purchase of this furniture from Wright-Line of Worcester, MA in the amount of $65,937.

Re: Nashua Fire Rescue Console Furniture Replacement

Nashua Fire Recue is requesting to purchase four (4) Dispatch console furniture positions
for it’s Fire Alarm/Communications Division, located at 38 Lake Street. This furniture will
replace and update the current furniture configuration within the Communications
Division. The current consoles are 18 years old, oversized for todays technology and are
deteriorating. Attached please find the quote and a copy of the diagram from Wright-Line
of Worcester, MA.

Nashua Fire Rescue, Radio Systems Manager and the Radio Committee recommend the
purchase of this furniture from Wright-Line under GSA contract GS-03F-030DA. Funding in
the amount of $65,937.75 is budgeted for this purchase and is available in the Radio
Communications Upgrade Citywide Capital Projects, Furniture & Fixtures, account #
57.5050 71800 2008.57.01 71800.

The City of Nashua’s Radio Committee reviewed your request expend funds from the Radio
Communications Upgrade Citywide Capital Projects to purchase 4 Radio Console
Workstations for your Dispatch Center located at 38 Lake Street. The committee, through
email, approved this expenditure totaling $65,937.75 on June 28, 2017.

Funding for this purchase is available in Radio Communications Upgrade Citywide Capital
Projects, Furniture & Fixtures, account 57.5050 71800 2008.57.15.01 71800.

Chief Rhodes | am writing in regards to the research and final proposal submitted for
replacing dispatch console furniture at Fire Alarm Headquarters, 38 Lake St. In
reviewing vendors and discussions with the Police Department the vendor Wright Line
of Worcester MA was chosen. This proposal has also been reviewed by the Radio
System Manager and the Radio Committee with a recommendation to purchase from
Wright Line of Worcester MA.

The Nashua Police Department has already Wright Line to install seven workstations.
Wright Line is a distributor and installer of Eaton office furnishings and was asked to
quote a total of four workstations and a rack enclosure for the fire alarm circuits. The
total quote from Wright Line is $65,937.75. That pricing includes installation and
delivery of all equipment.

This four station configuration will replace our current three work station configuration
that was placed in service in 1999. The current furniture has served us well but is worn,
failing in some points and unable to continue to meet the current needs of the division.

These furnishings are priced through GSA contract GS-03F-030DA (expiring

12/14/2020). Funding for this project is allocated in the Citywide Communications
Radio Communications Upgrade Capito! Project.
