Summary of Qualifications

Robert has spent the last 22 years developing the knowledge, skills, and abilities to lead
organizational change and foster an environment of continuous improvement. He started as a
firefighter/paramedic in 1996 and has spent over 20 years serving the 330,000 citizens of Marion
? County, Florida, Currently Robert serves as a district chief for Marion County Fire Rescue

i overseeing seven career and three volunteer fire stations. Rising through the ranks to the
current program manager and task force leader for Florida’s Urban Search and Rescue Task Force 8, a 72-person
state deployable asset, Robert has deployed in multiple natural disaster situations. He delivers solid management
and labor union leadership combinations having served as a local union president for 10 years, Gator Council union
vice president for 12 years, and company officer for the 12 years prior to his current assignment.

Robert has a diverse background of both technical and educational achievements that include a Bachelor's
Degree from the College of Central Florida in Business and Organizational Management with a specialization in
Public Safety Administration. Robert holds two Associate’s Degrees one of which is in Emergency Medical
