REQUEST TOISSUE BONDS NOT TO EXCEED ONE MILLION
FIVE HUNDREDAND FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,550,000).

THE PROCEEDS OF SAID BONDS SHALL BE USED IN ADDITION
TO THE $2,800,000 PREVIOUSLY APPROPRIATED UNDER
RESOLUTION R-19-127 APPROVED ONAPRIL 30, 2019 TO PAY
COSTS OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT'S HEATING,
VENTILATION, AND AIR CONDITIONING (HVAC) SYSTEM,
WINDOW IMPROVEMENTS AND LOCKER AREA IMPROVEMENT
PROJECTS.

THE USEFULLIFE OF THE IMPROVEMENTS IS TWENTY YEARS

WITH THE APPROVAL OF THIS ADDITIONAL BORROWING, THE
TOTAL AMOUNT AVAILABLE FOR THIS RENOVATION PROJECT
WILL BE FOUR MILLION THREE HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND
DOLLARS ($4,350,000).

NASHUA PD HVAC SYSTEMS-HISTORY

THE HVAC SYSTEMS WERE DESIGNED IN TWO (2) STAGES
WITH THE “ORIGINAL* PART OF THE FACILITY DESIGNED IN
1977 AND A SUBSEQUENT ADDITION AND RENOVATION
PROJECT IN 1999. THE HVAC SYSTEMS FOR THE TWO PARTS
OF THE FACILITY ARE COMPLETELY INDEPENDENT; THE 1977
DESIGN IS BASED ON A WATER SOURCE HEAT PUMP SYSTEM
AND THE1999 DESIGN IS BASED ONA VARIABLE AIR VOLUME
SYSTEM.

THE 1977 DESIGN INCORPORATEDA PISTOL RANGE ANDA
FLEET MAINTENANCE GARAGE AT THE BASEMENT LEVEL;
EACH WITH DEDICATED HVAC SYSTEMS.

2005 MODIFICATIONS: THIS PROJECT PRIMARILY INCLUDED
REPLACEMENT OF THE 1977 VINTAGE HEAT PUMPS, BOILER
AND MODIFICATION TO THE EXHAUST SYSTEM.
