COORDINATION

A. Manufacturers - Companies specializing in manufacturing of door hardware
shall have minimum of five years’ experience.

8. In areas where a threshold is provided the clearance between the bottom
of the door and the threshold shall not exceed 34-inch. Where a threshold
is not provided, the clearance at the bottom of the door shall be a
maximum of %4-inch.

B. Provide 1-%4-inch hollow metal doors of the type and size indicated on the
Drawings.

C. Fabricate exterior door, panels and frames from galvanized steel sheet ASTM
A653/A653M, G60 or A60.

D. Unless otherwise noted on the drawings, doors shall be reinforced with
impregnated kraft honeycomb core, laminated to the inside faces of both steel
panels.

E. Doors shall have continuous, vertical, interlocking joints at both the lock and
hinge edges. Both edges shall have visible seams.

Joints shall be tight and constructed in a manner that will conceal shrinkage.
Miter trim and moldings at exterior angles and at returns. Material shall show
no warp after installation. Install millwork and trim in the maximum practical
lengths.

Fasten finish work with finish nails. Provide blind nailing where practicable. Set
face nails for putty stopping.

Install facia, soffits, trim boards, and soffit vents.

Conform to NFP WCD1 unless otherwise indicated or specified. Fit framing
lumber and other rough carpentry, set accurately to the required lines and
levels, and secure in place in a rigid manner.

Do not splice framing members between bearing points. Set joists with the
crown edge up.

nominal thickness ~ 12 percent on 85 percent of the pieces and 15
percent on remainder.

b. Exterior treated or untreated finish lumber and trim that is 4 inches or

c. Other Materials - 19 percent.
