A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen was held Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at 7:30 p.m. in the
Aldermanic Chamber.

President Brian S. McCarthy presided; Deputy City Clerk Judith Boileau recorded.

Prayer was offered by Deputy City Clerk Judith Boileau; Alderman-at-Large Michael B. O’Brien, Sr.
led in the Pledge to the Flag.

The roll call was taken with 15 members of the Board of Aldermen present.

Corporation Counsel Steven A. Bolton was also in attendance.

Mr. Jim Cutter, 86 Palm Street

Article 9, Administration, Section 36, plat. It was passed November 23, 1949, as a means to prevent land
theft and states all applications for building permits shall be accompanied by a plan showing the actual

dimensions of each lot. On May 13, 1971, the building permit was approved for 88 Palm Street by the
building inspector for 53.57 feet. It was not the actual dimensions and took a 2.57 foot wide strip away

opportunities for persons with AIDS and Harbor Homes provides housing and services to that
population. That's what this money is for.

May | just speak to the amendment? | know that everyone here has read it and we have had discussion
but for the public, the amendment now makes it so that one of the two dwellings in a home that has an
accessory dwelling must always be owner occupied. And this will continue even when the property is
sold. If the new owner desires to have an accessory dwelling, that owner will still have to live in either
the larger or smaller of the two units, so it will always be owner occupied. Thank you.
