Subject: Against the reinstatement of the Mask Mandate

CAUTION: This email came from outside of the organization. Do not click links/open attachments if source is

I am totally against the reinstatement of the Mask Mandate.

It appears that our city is trying to put a lot of fear into the Nashua residents, however it is not
going to work this time. Enough already — move on -- Nashua residents want to keep their
freedoms.

The Ordinance actually brings up the fact that 799,000 Americans have died from Covid-19
however you did not bring up the fact that during the Covid-19 pandemic no other deaths were
reported. All deaths were just Covid.

To put a mandate for all businesses but leave restaurants, bars, and clubs open is outrageous. Is
this board telling the Nashua residents that a supermarket is a super spreader but you can sit
next to a person at a bar and have a beer and it is no big deal? Let us be real.

If 1 am not mistaken that is why we have the Constitution of the United States and the Bill of
Rights that gives the Nashua residents the right to do what they want to do and not what the
mayor, Board of Health and the Board of Aldermen tell us to do.

The Nashua Patch had an article on December 18 that actually showed the number of Covid
cases in the City of Nashua. Total regular patient beds were 272 and out of those 49 beds were
for Covid. The ICU beds were 22 with 11 Covid patients. So, to summarize out of the approx.
89,000 residents in the City of Nashua the beds currently used for Covid is 60 beds out of 294
beds. To make it even clearer the mayor, Board of Health and the Board of Aldermen plan on
penalizing approx. 88,940 residents because of 60 cases of Covid which represent .000674% of
the residents. This makes no sense whatsoever.

I can promise you that you will be hurting all businesses again because Nashua residents will go
to other towns to shop. What does this board not understand?

Nashua residents are asking the Board of Aldermen not to put the mask mandate back into the
City of Nashua because this time Nashua residents will not conform to the ordinance.

TO: MEMBERS OF THE NASHUA BOARD OF ALDERMEN

| have been a resident and taxpayer in Nashua for 38 years. I'm asking each member of the Board of
Alderman to vote NO on the current consideration of a mask mandate.

Masks should be an option for those who believe. NOT a mandate to include those who do not
believe.

At the start of this pandemic, even Dr. Anthony Fauci said masks don't work. Then he said they
do. Then he said they don't. It is all on public record with many videos of him flip-flopping on the
issue.

This was followed closely by a number of extra-precautionary misnomers and bad advice, in which a
confusing amalgam of purported "facts" skewed the safety guidelines of requirements of not only our
local grocery stores and restaurants, but within the federal government as well.

Now, almost two years later, as the omicron variant begins to spread, doctors who've treated patients
with this latest mutation have considered it a mild form of the virus, and even the normally-alarmed
Dr. Fauci downplays its severity. Omicron has proven to have only mild symptoms with over a 99%
rate of fast recovery. Nobody has died from Omicron - all around the world - so why the fear?

Throughout this whole thing, we have dealt with misinformation from Big Pharma, Big Tech, Bill Gates
and the media. The media have repeatedly artificially inflated covid numbers. All of this has pitted
family against family and friends against friends.

Our children are innocent pawns in this horrendous showdown and it has to stop for the sake of their
sanity. It will oniy stop when people start opening their eyes.

What are you going to do when the next variant is born? Go through this again? And again? And
again? Are you all prepared to keep doing this over and over forever? Meanwhile, it is the children
who suffer the most. Are you prepared to keep their precious little freedom-loving lives under your
collective freedom-removal thumbs forever forever - or are you prepared to give them and their
parents the power of choice?

Respecttully,
Diane Lothrop

Subject: Possible mask mandate

CAUTION: This email came from outside of the organization. Do not click links/open attachments if source is

Hi,
I understand that reinstating the mask mandate is on the agenda for tomorrow

evening's BOA meeting.

I fully support a mask mandate within the city. The science supports this as a way to cut
transmission of the virus. Wearing a mask is certainly not fun and an inconvenience, but
it sure beats spreading the virus around to our more vulnerable population.

I am sure there will be many vocal people who are against this. I am trying to remain as
safe as possible as I am having some surgery on January 12, so I am unable to come to
the meeting and state my views.

I hope you will consider the mandate. If we can enforce wearing shoes and shirts in a
public establishment, I don't see that wearing a mask is a different request that affects
your freedom any more than the other two existing public health laws.

Thank you.

To the Nashua Board of Alderman,

| live in Hollis and | shop and do business in Nashua. | lived and grew up in Nashua for 20 years before moving next door
to Hollis. Please do not enact another mask mandate for the city. | am a scientist and have two degrees in Plastics. The
simple science that the media is ignoring is that the virus is one micron in size and the holes in a typical surgical mask are
80 microns. So cloth and surgical masks will not prevent respiratory viruses from penetrating them. What is worse it the
it is settled science that viruses can and do enter the body via the eyes. So a mask is worthless other than to impede air
flow into the lungs and trap exhaled pathogens out. In fact the warning on boxes of surgical masks says that they “do not
eliminate the risk of contracting any disease or infection”. There are more than twenty randomized, peer-reviewed
studies that prove that masks simply will not prevent the spread of disease.

Conversely there are NO such studies that prove they are protective. But of course there are media outlets that purport
there are studies but when you do due diligence to find the source there is nothing!

Here is a good question to ask the Nashua’s Board of Health. Are they being paid to promote misinformation? | can’t
help but think that there is something sinister about edicts that continue to take away our liberties. People are weary of
it all. | will not comply to any mask mandate and if you are foolish enough to try fines like the last time.....well we know
not court will honor that as they are unconstitutional. How stupid would that be...

Sincerely,

Subject: Please reinstate the Nashua COVID mask mandate

CAUTION: This email came from outside of the organization. Do not click links/open attachments if source is

Board of Aldermen,

I am writing in favor of reinstating the COVID mask mandate for Nashua. The extremely high level of
transmission in Nashua, combined with the rapid spread of the Omicron variant, means that the combination of
vaccination and masks is key to slowing the spread and finally getting the upper hand on this virus. The
mandate helps local business owners protect their staff and customers.

Like most everyone else, I wish we didn't have to wear masks, but as retiring NIH director Dr. Francis Collins
recently said, "I know people are tired of this. I’m tired of it too, believe me. But the virus is not tired of us."

Please do your part to protect the citizens, business owners and workers of Nashua, and bring back the mask
ordinance. Thank you.

Dear Board of Aldermen,

lam writing to you in adamant support of the Mask Mandate 0-21-083 put forth by Alderwoman Klee and Alderman
Lopez. | write to you not only as a citizen of Nashua, but as a Nurse Practitioner.

The high number of Covid-19 infections in our city have shortened and disabled lives, exhausted our healthcare workers,
and increased healthcare costs universally. Masks are an elemental tool for prevention of this infection - especially
among our highly unvaccinated population. Masks prevent infections and save lives.

Please vote yes for the Mask Mandate resolution.

Please give Nashua a mask mandate. It will help for health reasons and for economic ones. I will be
more likely to visit local businesses during this latest surge of cases if I know that people will be better
protected.

I suspended my gym membership again because there are few masks present and I haven't gone out
for live music, religious events, movies, or other public gatherings to be cautious. I am an elderly
person and I know several folks who have died of COVID and many who have been very ill. I have
done what I can for myself and others by getting vaccinated, boosted, and wearing a mask when
inside.

Thank you for your consideration
