SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE

Ranging from on-air announcing to "running the board" for numerous remotes, to the production of spots and
PSAs, I have developed and demonstrated strong abilities in running a solid program regardless of format or
day-part, while being able to multi-task in production when time allowed. In short, my skill sets have been
cultivated from a combination of mostly self-education and independent study, with plenty of hands-on ‘in-the-
field’ training. Not only was my education developed towards the technical side of radio, but also expanded by
the learning and understanding of how management, programming, advertising and engineering work together to
deliver a solid and consistent on-air product to the listener. Below is a list of my responsibilities and
achievements. Within all of this, my pursuits in broadcasting helped me to improve and advance my personal and
professional communication skills in the industry and the workplace in general.

SKILL SETS and QUALIFICATIONS

© Utilization and implementation of B.S 1., Jukebox and NexGen program automation and, adapting and
compensating for any changes that may have necessitated shifting the flow of the program hour or block,
and maintain fulfillment of advertisement and traffic obligations.

e¢ Comprehension of the program and traffic log in advance to be able to anticipate obstacles that may arise,
whether during normal programming, or to make appropriate adjustments during remotes and/or network
broadcast feeds.

® Moderate to strong proficiency in the use of Cool Edit Pro in voicing and producing adverts, PSAs, station
and network promos. This would also include daily recorded community calendar announcements, with an
emphasis on locally held community gathering events and non-profit organizations for the greater Nashua
area.

* Assisted talk show hosts as producer in arranging scheduling and calling of guests for interviews.
Additionally, this included the careful documentation and descriptions of those interviews which I would
compile into the station's quarterly public file, for which I was solely responsible.

® Written, developed and produced show title intros and bumper music for local talk shows.

© Board operated numerous Red Sox, MLB, NFL, NCAA and BC games, in addition with local sports
broadcasts which included The Nashua Pride, Rivier College basketball, and the Manchester Monarchs.

e As producer for WSMN, I have received three NHAB awards in sharing with "On the Air with Jennifer
Hom", and "The Woody Woodland Show". I received a Merit Award for Jennifer Horn's documentary news
coverage, “Illegal Immigration in America".

¢ Asasolid announcer and producer, I have been trusted with the responsibility of training new-hires with
the day-to-day operations in all listed stations, not necessarily being limited to the familiarization of
program formats, board operating procedures and techniques.

* Acted on numerous occasions in the capacity as either fill-in host or producer whenever I was asked to, or
when the opportunities were offered.

transmitter is at or out of tolerances.

PERSONAL INTERESTS

I have many interests and hobbies which have been wide and varied throughout my life, most of which include
science, philosophy, mythology, model building, culinary, paleontology, astronomy, sci-fi and politics. Among these,
broadcasting being the obvious one, I have a strong passion for broadcast audio processing. Having once personally
owned an industry-grade broadcast audio processor, I learned hands-on about this esoteric audio artform, and
developed an iron-clad understanding and the skills necessary in the installation, setup and maintenance of such
devices. As part of the same hobby, I am presently using Stereo Tool Broadcast Processor for my own personal
enjoyment at home in my media center, through which my understanding of such applications has increased. The
end goal of this is to develop my own webcast radio station using Stereo Tool to drive the stream. Aside from that, I
like to stay abreast on current events and occasionally enjoy discussing national and world affairs. During my free
time, I enjoy reading philosophy and fiction. I also enjoy reading any technical whitepapers published by Orban and
Omnia to further my understanding and stay as current as J can in the latest breakthroughs and applications in audio
processing. Additionally, as a hobby, I enjoy blueprint reading and drafting, and ] am currently working on my own
personal set of sci-fi vehicle blueprints using 2D drafting software.
