references in the specifications will be reviewed and items which are no longer applicable to the project
will be removed, struck out or otherwise noted to be “not in contract’. An updated “front end” will be
prepared, to include an updated bid form, bid dates, measurement and payment, and summary of work
to reflect the revised project.

The updated “Phase 2” bid package will include the previously designed work at the following stations:
Northgate, Blackstone, Santerre, Spalding, Harris Preserve, Maurice, and Bridge Street. Designers will
review and update the contract documents as needed for the following disciplines:

Civil

Architectural

Structural

Mechanical

HVAC

Plumbing

Electrical

Instrumentation & Controls

As part of the updates to the design documents, we will verify that the existing designs meet current
building code. New Hampshire changed the version of the International Building Code used statewide in
2019. The 2018 design for the buildings at Northgate, Blackstone & Santerre pump stations will be
reviewed against the current code for wind load and other electrical and structural code requirements to
verify compliance.

Design of the force main replacement at Northgate will be based on geotechnical data obtained during
the previous design work. Brierly Associates will review the previous design and incorporate any updates
to the design as necessary.

The design of Marshall Street Pump Station will be revised to abandon the pump station and replace it
with a new PVC gravity sewer. These modifications are dependent on the results of a hydraulic model
and flow monitoring being performed by others. This work will be included as a bid alternate to the
contract.

At Bridge Street CSO station, the incoming service will be modified per the City’s comments received in
December 2020, as well as a manual transfer switch and portable generator connection. Design of a
new switchgear, or permanently installed generator/automatic transfer switch is not included in the
design efforts at this time. The City may wish to upgrade these components of the facility when the
incoming electrical service is upgraded.

After the revised Contract documents have been prepared, the documents will be submitted to NHDES
for review and approval.

Bidding Services

Bidding service assistance will be provided to the City on an “as-needed” basis and as directed by the
City. This assistance could take the form of response to bidder questions or attendance at a pre-bid
meeting. The City of Nashua will be responsible for all advertising for the project, opening of bids, and
bid evaluation.

Town of Suffield, CT Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA) - Sanitary
Sewer Evaluation Survey (SSES). Project Manager for a targeted SSES for the
Suffield WPCA. The project includes CCTV inspection and smoke testing of 8,900
linear feet of sanitary sewer, dye testing to confirm suspected sources of
infiltration/inflow, building inspection of approximately 100 residences to inspect for
roof leaders and/or sump pumps and manhole inspections for all manholes within
the project area. The project is ongoing and design of recommended upgrades to
the sewer system is expected to begin early in 2021.

City of Quincy, MA - The Strand Pump Station Improvements. Project
Manager for the design of a replacement pump station for a low-lying coastal area
in Quincy, MA. The new pump station will be elevated to provide protection against
damage from flooding up to a 100-year flood event. This station serves both
wastewater and stormwater flows. Design included new wastewater and
stormwater pumps, a new generator, and new control building. Responsible for
permitting efforts with the Zoning Board of Appeals and Conservation Commission.

Town of Tewksbury, MA - Heather Row Pump Station Grinder Installation.
Project Manager for the design of a new grinder to be installed immediately
upstream of an existing pump station. Responsible for design of civil and process
equipment plans and specifications. Oversaw project during bidding and
construction administration.

City of Nashua, NH - Pump Station Upgrades. Project Manager for the final design of upgrades to 13 wastewater pump
stations and one combined sewer overflow pump station. The project also included design of a new force main installed
under the Nashua River. The force main was installed by horizontal directional drilling. Responsible for the technical review
of the pump and force main design, selection of pump technology, and development of plans and specifications for the
project. Oversaw permitting efforts with NHDES and local agencies.

Town of Acushnet MA - School Pump Station Replacement. Project Manager for the replacement of an existing
Gorman-Rupp suction lift pump station serving the Town's school complex. Evaluated options for improvements,
developed system curve for force main, and prepared cost estimate for the project. Oversaw the development of plans and
specifications for the pump station replacement. Project Manager for the project during construction administration.

City of Portsmouth, NH — Sanitary Sewer Infiltration and Inflow Study. Project Manager for investigations of the City’s
sanitary sewer collection system to reduce infiltration and inflow into the collection system. Project included flow isolation
of 150,000 LF of sewer, smoke testing of 200,000 LF of sewer, CCTV inspection of over 50,000 LF of sewer, as well as
dye testing and private property surveys. Responsible for the final report summarizing the data, which was submitted to
EPA to meet the requirements of an Administrative Order. Developed a phased schedule for rehabilitation work with the
City.

City of Portsmouth, NH — Sewer Rehabilitation Contract. Project Manager for a rehabilitation contract to repair sewer
infrastructure identified as contributing to infiltration and inflow in previous studies. The project used a variety of
rehabilitation techniques to address the defects identified, included trenchless rehabilitation methods.

Town of Tyngsborough, MA - Infiltration/Inflow Analysis Report. Project Manager for an evaluation of infiltration and
inflow in the collection system of Tyngsborough, MA. Managed subcontractors that deployed ten flow meters in the
collection system. Analyzed data to determine the influence of infiltration and inflow in the collection system. Developed
recommended plan for additional studies and improvements to the collection system to reduce I/I. Findings of the study
were documented in a report and submitted to Massachusetts DEP. Phase 2 of the project included night flow isolation,
CCTV inspection of areas with high infiltration, smoke testing, and dye testing to identify sources of I/I in the collection
system.

Massachusetts Clean Energy Center — Test Bed Feasibility Study. Project Manager for a feasibility study which
evaluated the possibility of developing “test bed” centers for pilot testing of emerging wastewater technologies. Evaluated
existing conditions at three potential sites and developed a recommended plan for constructing test bed facilities, including
recommendations for building size, pump sizing & layout, electrical and instrumentation controls. Developed cost estimates
for the implementation of the test beds. Managed subcontractors who performed a network analysis and project cash flow
for the potential facilities. Responsible for the final report which summarized the results of the engineering and market
analysis.

City of Portland, ME - Curtis Road Pump Station Replacement. Project Manager for the replacement of an existing
Gorman-Rupp suction lift pump station with an upgraded system. Responsible for reviewing all aspects of design, including
pump capacity analysis and sizing, and development of plans and specifications. This project was delivered using a
design-build approach.

City of Portland, ME - Franklin Street Pump Station Upgrades. Project Manager for the upgrades to the Franklin Street
Pump Station. This project included installation of a new channel grinder, replacement of slide gates and valves,
evaluation of flow meter technologies, and upgrades to the electrical distribution system and HVAC systems. Evaluated
odor control technologies for potential implementation. Managed subcontractors for hazardous materials assessment of

City of Portland, ME - Curtis Road Pump Station Evaluation. Project Manager and Project Engineer responsible for the
evaluation of upgrade options for the City’s aging Curtis Road Pump Station, a small 300-gopm duplex pump station serving
164 single family homes in a residential neighborhood in the City of Portland. As part of a high level City-wide Sanitary
Sewer CMOM Assessment, the pump station was scheduled for elimination however the City sought to take a second look
and perform a Business Case Study (BCS). The City’s goal of the BCS was to evaluate direct costs and non-direct costs
(environmental and social impacts) to select the best option to address the aging pump station. This was the City’s first
Business Case Study (BCS) and thus we were tasked with developing their process. We evaluated four options including
elimination and connection to another station, comprehensive upgrades to the existing station, prioritized upgrades, and
the “do nothing’ alternative. The four step process we created involved our work to Define the Project Drivers (safety and
health requirements, regulations, system limitations, reliability, cost efficiencies, and aesthetic concerns); Develop a
Problem Statement - the “why” for the project; Formulate the Options; and Complete a Triple Bottom Line Analysis of the
Options — present worth analysis to compare mutually exclusive options and using life-cycle cost inclusive of budgetary
impacts, risk, environmental considerations, and societal costs. The result of the BCS were well received and the City is
moving forward with comprehensive upgrades to the aging pump station, consistent with our recommendation.

City of Haverhill, MA - Odor Control Improvements. Project Manager for the design and construction administration for
odor control improvements at the Haverhill WWTF. Evaluated available technologies and developed the recommended
plan for a new facility-wide odor control system. Designed chemical storage and feed system associated with the odor
control project. Responsible for the design of a new biofilter which will treat 23,000 cfm of odorous air. Oversaw
construction administration for the project.

Lowell Regional Wastewater Utility, Lowell, MA - Wastewater Treatment Facility Upgrades. Managed design and
construction administration of the upgrades at the Lowell Regional Wastewater Utility's Duck Island WWTF. Project
includes clarifier mechanism replacement, chemical feed systems, septage receiving, sludge thickening, and associated
piping and controls improvements. Develop a Request for Proposals to allow the client to preselect critical pieces of
equipment. Managed preselection process, including the technical and vendor evaluation for new multi-stage blowers,
clarifier equipment, rotating drum thickener, and dewatered sludge conveyors. Managed the pre-qualification of general
contractors and filed sub-bid contractors in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws. Served as Project Manager
during the bidding and construction administration phases of the project.

Private Client, Mashpee MA — Wastewater Treatment Facility Evaluation. Project Manager for an evaluation of a
private wastewater treatment facility serving a retirement community in Mashpee, MA. Performed an evaluation of existing
equipment and developed a plan for upgrading the facility to meet current DEP requirements and codes. Performed a cost
estimate and evaluated several options for phased implementation of the work.

Town of Tewksbury, MA - Andover Street Force Main Replacement. Project Manager for the replacement of a 6000
LF force main in a busy commercial/industrial area of Tewksbury. Evaluated existing pump station capacity and historical
infiltration and inflow records. Prepared cost estimate for the project. Responsible for permitting of the project with
ConComm and Mass Highway. Prepared cost estimate for the project. Project Manager during bidding and construction
administration of the new force main installation.

Town of Acushnet, MA - Infiltration/Inflow Study. Project Manager for an infiltration and inflow study for the entire
collection system of the Town of Acushnet. Responsible for overseeing subcontractors, evaluating data, and presenting
recommendations to the Town for improvements.

Town of Acushnet, MA - Comprehensive Wastewater Management Plan. Developed preliminary designs for a
potential sewer expansion to serve unsewered areas in the Town of Acushnet. Developed layouts for gravity sewer design,
pump station locations, and force main layouts. Developed system curves for the proposed pump stations to determine the
pump size required. Developed cost estimates for the sewer expansion.

City of Gardner, MA - WWTF Facilities Plan. The Facilities Plan included: an evaluation of the existing treatment
process and building systems; BioWin modeling to evaluate the WWTF’s ability to remove nutrients; an evaluation of
sludge dewatering technologies, and an energy efficiency evaluation.

City of Gardner, MA —- Headworks Upgrade. Responsible for evaluation of screening and grit removal technology.
Oversaw design of the new facility, including process and building services designs. Primary author of the Preliminary
Design Report.

City of Leominster, MA - WPCF Headworks Upgrade. Oversaw design of the new building which includes a mechanical
fine screen and screenings washpress, and replacement comminutors and slide gates. The new facility was built over the
existing channels while maintaining WPCF flows of up to 30 MGD. Performed hydraulic analysis of flow patterns at full
range of flows for this facility (1-30 MGD). This project also includes the replacement of three influent screw pumps with
new higher capacity pumps to allow pumping redundancy, and construction of a new electrical room and motor control
center. Responsible for contractor oversight during construction.

Town of Hudson, MA - WWTF Upgrade. Evaluated existing plant pumping and headworks systems. Designed upgrade
to the plant headworks, including screening, septage handling, and aerated grit chamber. Evaluated and designed
refurbishments to existing sludge and scum pumps. Designed 1,400 LF force main replacement. Served as lead project
engineer during construction administration of the $14.2M project which included construction of a dissolved air flotation
process for tertiary phosphorous removal. Reviewed shop drawings, payment requisitions, and change orders.
Responsible for contractor oversight during construction, and start-up of the new facility, including performance testing of
the new tertiary equipment.

City of Leominster, MA — Nutrient Removal Upgrades. Design of a tertiary phosphorous removal process at the
Leominster WPCF. Responsible for layout, sizing, and hydraulic analysis of a new ballasted flocculation process for tertiary
phosphorous removal. Evaluated existing chemical storage and pumping systems and designed upgrades. Evaluated
existing buildings and processes for building code compliance. Responsible for contractor oversight during construction
and start-up of the new facility.

City of Leominster, MA - WPCF Aeration Tanks Upgrade. Evaluated the benefits of replacing existing mechanical
surface aerators with new fine bubble diffusers and high-efficiency blowers. Preliminary design tasks included Biowin
modeling of enhanced nutrient removal treatment schemes (continued chemical precipitation vs. aerobic/oxic process vs.
Modified University of Cape Town process) and evaluation of life-cycle costs and benefits of each scheme.

City of Fitchburg, MA - Headworks Upgrade. Design of a headworks upgrade at Fitchburg's Easterly Wastewater
Treatment Facility. Evaluated operational capabilities and lifecycle cost analysis for competing odor control technologies.
Prepared preliminary design report, including basis of design for replacement screening/washpresses and conveyors.
Prepared project evaluation form and State Revolving Loan Fund applications. Evaluated facility's susceptibility to flooding
due to high river levels.

Private Development, Westford, MA - WWTF. Responsible for technical design and project management during the
design and construction of a packaged wastewater treatment facility serving a new commercial development. Prepared
design drawings and specifications for construction of the membrane bioreactor treatment facility. Oversaw construction
and start-up of the new facility. Managed design and construction to allow project to proceed from preliminary design to
start-up in less than 1 year.

Private Development, Mashpee, MA — WWTF. Project Manager for permitting, design and construction of a packaged

wastewater treatment facility serving a housing development. Performed hydrogeological evaluation of the existing site.

Prepared the Hydrogeological Evaluation Report for DEP review and approval. Evaluated treatment technologies for the
new Wastewater Treatment Facility. Responsible for preparation of design documents for the new facility.

Private Development, Hardwick, MA - Hydrogeological Evaluation for a WWTF. Evaluated the suitability of several
sites on the development’s land for wastewater effluent disposal. Designed a protocol for a hydraulic loading test of the

Town of Tisbury, MA - Hydrogeological Evaluation for Subsurface Effluent Disposal. Project Engineer for the
permitting and design of proposed “wick” effluent disposal system to allow expansion of an existing wastewater treatment
facility. Evaluated upgrades to the WWTF to achieve total suspended solids of < 1 mg/L to allow long-term operation of the
wick systems. Project siting concerns included nutrient loading analysis in nitrogen sensitive watersheds.

Town of Lunenburg, MA - Wastewater Management Plan. Project Engineer for a comprehensive wastewater
management plan for the town to include various wastewater infrastructure improvements. The project includes the full
range of tasks associated with wastewater management planning. Investigated and evaluated existing wastewater
collection system. Calculated projected wastewater flows to be generated by residential and commercial properties.
Evaluated suitability of parcels to use traditional Title 5 wastewater disposal.

Private Development, West Bridgewater, MA - WWTP Evaluation. Project Engineer for a packaged wastewater
treatment plant and land-based effluent disposal. Evaluated competing technologies for suitability to treat wastewater from
a residential development, including the feasibility of producing effluent with total nitrogen less than 5 mg/l. Evaluated
potential effluent disposal areas. Designed effluent disposal area, including groundwater mounding analysis and
determination of effluent long-term acceptance rate.

Private Development, East Bridgewater, MA - Subsurface Disposal and pressure Distribution System Design.
Designed membrane bioreactor (MBR) treatment facility and pressure distribution system for a private development.
Conducted site assessments to determine suitability for subsurface disposal. Prepared groundwater discharge permit for
submission to DEP. Evaluated packaged treatment plant alternatives for wastewater treatment on site.

Town of Cheshire, CT - Denitrification Facility. Managed engineering services during construction of the 2.7-MGD
denitrification facility. Reviewed shop drawings, resolved construction issues, and prepared change orders and monthly
pay estimates.

Town of Framingham, MA - Eaton, Chalis, and Nob Hill Pump Station Replacement. Lead Project Engineer for the
construction administration of the project, which involved the construction of two new submersible pump stations to replace
three existing stations. Project included approximately 1,000 LF of gravity sewer and 2,500 LF of force main. Responsible
for contractor oversight, client coordination, and interactions with abutters. Responsible for the start-up and commissioning
of the two new pump stations.

Town of Framingham, MA - Bethany, Irving, Herbert, Loring Water and Sewer Improvements. Lead Project Engineer
for the design and construction administration of this project, which included the replacement of approximately 3,000 LF of
water main and 1,000 LF of gravity sewer, as well as CIPP lining of another 1,500 LF of gravity sewer. Responsible for all
components of the design plans and specifications.

City of Somerville, MA - Illicit Discharge Detection and Elimination. Project Manager for CSO Monitoring and IDDE
work within Somerville, MA. This project included flow monitoring and analysis for several CSO regulators within the City.
Oversaw CCTV inspections and reviewed tapes for illicit connections. Primary author for the City’s regulatory submittals to
EPA, DEP & MWRA during the study period.

City of Medford, MA - Sanitary Sewer Evaluation and Sewer Overflow Evaluation. Lead Project Engineer for the
SSES and SSO mitigation project required as part of Massachusetts DEP Consent Order.

City of Haverhill, MA — Main Street Pump Station. Project Manager for design of a replacement submersible pump
station. Responsible for all aspects of pump station design, and plan and specification preparation. Oversaw bidding and
construction phases of the project.

Town of Hardwick, MA - Hardwick Center and Eagle Hill School Sewer Extension. Lead Project Engineer for the
design and construction of a sewer extension to the existing wastewater collection system. The solution includes a
combination conventional and low pressure sewer system with a common pumping station located in the village center and
a force main installed along Route 32A to an existing WWTF in Gilbertville. Several sources of grant/loan funding are being
pursued for this project.

Town of Tewksbury, MA - Wastewater Pumping Stations Upgrade. Project Engineer for upgrades to seven
wastewater pumping stations ranging from small duplex submersible stations (100 GPM design pumping capacity) to
large, wetwell/drywell type station (5400 GPM design pump capacity). Evaluated pumping technologies and performed
lifecycle cost analysis. Coordinated analysis of a failing ductile iron force main, including field and laboratory work.
Prepared and executed necessary easements. Coordinated project's filing with town's conservation commission.

Massachusetts Water Resource Authority, Boston, MA - Union Park Detention/Treatment Facility. Coordinated
design of the combined sewer overflow treatment facility from the preliminary design phase through the bid process.
Reviewed and edited plans and specifications from each design discipline. Modeled facility hydraulic profile by creating a
spreadsheet which used an iterative process to determine losses during open channel flow. Wrote portions of the
preliminary design report, including chapters on the facility hydraulics, construction staging and schedule, and sizing of the
emergency generator. Evaluated available technologies for treatment at the new facility. Prepared Massachusetts DEP
permit for diesel generator and turbine air emissions, and assisted with preparation of a “best available control technology
analysis” for the equipment. Reviewed shop drawings for compliance with the contract documents, and resolved
construction issues during the construction phase.

Town of Essex, MA - Sewers, Pump Stations, and Force Main Projects. Prepared written responses to technical
issues raised by the contractor and client during construction. Performed resident inspection at the construction sites.
Coordinated change orders to the contract, including reviewing the contractor's proposed costs.

Massachusetts Water Resource Authority, Boston, MA — North Dorchester Bay, Reserved Channel Combined
Sewer Overflow Abatement. Designed containment alternatives for pump failure pressure surges from a 13-foot
diameter, 14,000-foot long tunnel for a 600-MGD pumping station. Calculated hydraulic conditions for the facility under
varying operating conditions. Designed weir and baffle systems for combined sewer overflow regulator manholes.
Designed site utility layout.

City of Springfield, MA - SWSC Mill River Combined Sewer Controls Improvements. Designed floatable control
baffles, including review of existing structures and assessment of hydraulic impacts of the structures. Coordinated work of
lead design consultant and sub-consultants. Prepared traffic control plans and project schedule.

Massachusetts Water Resource Authority, Medford, MA - CSO Master Plan, Mystic River Stormwater Sampling.
Coordinated storm water sampling activities for three communities whose storm drains contribute to pollutant loads along
the Mystic River. Communicated with client to determine the suitability of rain events for sampling. Managed a three-
person sampling crew responsible for obtaining samples for pollutant load analysis. Compiled data and wrote report
detailing the findings of the sampling program.

Massachusetts Water Resource Authority, Boston, MA - Underflow Baffle Evaluation Study. Evaluated the
effectiveness of underflow baffles in preventing floatable debris being discharged from combined sewer overflow
regulators. Observed regulators and baffles during and after rain events and reported results.

Massachusetts Water Resource Authority, Boston, MA - Boston Harbor Project. Performance certification, Phase II
facilities: Worked on first year of operations performance certification report of the South System Pump Station, which is
part of the Deer Island Treatment Facilities. Reviewed warranty issues experienced after facility start-up, spare parts
inventory and usage, and evaluated performance and functional testing results of the completed facility. Interviewed facility
operators to assess the effectiveness of the designed instrumentation and layout.

Town of Rockport, MA - New Generator at Water Treatment Plant. Project Manager for the installation of a new
standby generator at the Water Treatment Plant. Responsible for design oversight and preparation of the design
documents. Oversaw bidding and construction administration phases.

Town of Sanford, ME - Old Mill Pump Station Upgrade. Project Engineer for well pumping station upgrade and addition
of new chemical systems. Designed chemical feed schematics. Coordinated project schedule with State requirements for
ARRA funding. Wrote specifications for well pumping system, chemical feed systems, and water storage tank mixing
systems.

Logan International Airport, Boston, MA — Aircraft Fueling Systems. Performed quality control inspections for the
construction of a jet fuel storage system and distribution pipeline at Logan Airport, Boston, MA. Prepared daily field reports
documenting construction activities. Responsible for performing quantity, cost, and revenue projections and for maintaining
the construction schedule of activities.

Logan International Airport, Boston, MA - Contaminated Soils Management. Coordinated treatment and disposal
activities for both contaminated soils and storm water treatment at the soil storage site. Managed the excavation and
disposal of PCB-contaminated soils from airport property, including confirmatory sampling.
