I have seen George Russell and Bob Bartis apply imagination, talent, business acumen and
empathy to enhance the quality of life of Nashua area residents over many years.
Today, traditional electronic media - radio and tv - are well suited to provide easy access for
diverse segments of the community to express their perspectives toward advancing a public
service oriented dialog.
Bob and George have alrcady demonstrated their dedication to facilitating responsible local
content creation by and for Nashua area residents.
What Bartis and Russcll also bring to the cffort is a spark with just the right emphasis on
entertainment, as well as information. They know how to attract and grow an audience -
strengthening a channel’s overall effectiveness as well as its reputation as a trusted community
tesourec.

Ta Whom It May Concern:
lam happy to provide a professional reference for George Russel! and Bob Bartis. | have known and worked
with both of them for over a decade.
Our company has advertised with Bartis-Russell Broadcasting for many years, and we value the message that
they bring to Nashua and the manner in which they promote our mission and our company. Their broad reach
has allowed us to successfully promote important community health and safety messages and continuously
inform the public about the on-going opioid epidemic.
I have been on air with both Bob and Gearge many times and personally observed their professional
broadcasting skills. They are both highly skilled and qualified broadcasters who truly care about their
community and the format in which their programs are delivered to the public.
While | am aware that the job that they are bidding on requires skill sets beyond what | have observed on the
radio, | believe in their ability to work as a team, educate and train themselves, utilize their resources for
promoting and enhancing the job at hand and the tasks required of them.
They have successfully developed a local Nashua iconic AM radio station into a FM station that supports
Nashua and southern NH. The station has been and is consistently on air to provide important information,
local news, education, entertainment, and music to thousands. The station is well run, financially stable and
looked upon by its diverse audience as a valuable part of the community to hear different opinions, topics and
points of view.
|am confident that their skills in broadcasting and extensive knowledge of broadcast equipment/technology
are entirely applicable in the video/tv space. Most importantly, their extensive and successful business
management skills will serve them well to maintain the fiscal integrity of a critical public information access
point.
iam happy to provide any additional information that may be needed as you evaluate their proposal. Please do
not hesitate to contact me directly at 603.494.5001 or cstawasz@qmr net

My name is James Kacavas and | am the general manager at Allen Mello Companies LLC,
my cell number is 603-321-7550 and email jkacavas@alienme!lo.com. | am writing this
reference for Bartis-Russell Broadcasting as they are one of our media sponsors. We've
been using them since August 2017 and are very happy with their expertise,
professionalism, commitment and most of all integrity. When we first signed on they were
only an AM station but now have both 1590 AM and 95.3 FM. They have enhanced our
social media and digital platform along with streaming their weekly Bob's Racing Report
show from our dealership every Wednesday. This has added great value for our dealership
branding. They have met and exceeded all our expectations and you couldn't ask for a
better more committed partner always looking to help enhance our business opportunities
and help us grow both iocally and regionally. They would be a great fit to run the City of
Nashua’s cable programing.

I first met George Russell in October of 2014 to do a 20-minute intervicw about HVAC in the
Nashua area. I had been listening to the show for years even when it was carried from the New
London Station. I was on the show a few more times before Joyce Cooling & Heating, Inc
became an advertiser. ] have worked with George and Bob both on the air and off and am proud
to be affiliated with them.
What I found from our relationship was that WSMN was the only local media in town that
scemed to want to be 4 voice of Nashua same as when I was a kid. We were involved in a
mayoral debate, live broadcast of the Groundhog Breakfast in 2019, and several live remotes
around the city. In every instance we received positive feedback from our customers.
After George Russell and Bob Bartis had purchased the station and were moving it to an iconic
location looking out over Main St., WSMN1590 began to grow into a first-class radio station.
Running a radio station today is more complex than it was just 8 years ago. They have integrated
the station, so it has live HD cameras streaming in-house shows to the Internet.
One of their greatest strengths is combining Bob’s legal background with George’s media
experience, Over the years they have successfully faced adversity and numerous challenging
situations with a levclheaded professional manner.
In my opinion, they can deliver the opcrational and technical talent that will be required to run
Nashua’s Public Access Channel and make it a success,

To whom it may concern:
I have been involved in the broadcast business for over 50 years
here in Nashua. I have also served as a former member of the Cable
Advisory Board ( 18 years representing the Nashua Police
Department) and currently host “eYe on Education” for the Nashua
School District.
| am writing this to give my full endorsement of the proposal of BRB
and their proposal to operate Nashua’s Public Access channel.
Bob Bartis grew up in Nashua and his family has deep ties to the
community. George Russell has demonstrated a love for the city
and his willingness to be Nashua ever since he arrived here.
What they and their team of professionals are proposing will, I
believe, energize the Public Access channel and bring it to another
level.
I urge your strong consideration of their proposal.
Sincerely,

RE: Public Access Television Operations & Management Services
Bid Proposa! of Robert J. Bartis, Esq. & George Russell
Dear City of Nashua:
It is an honor to submit this recommendation in support of my great friend, colleague and mentor
Robert J. “Bob” Bartis. First, and of most importance, Bob is an amazing person and a valuable asset to
the Nashua community. Over the past 20 years I’ve had the privilege of watching Bob rise in the legai
field to become a prominent lawyer who built a thriving jaw practice here in the city. In his role of
jawyer, Bob has (and continues) to help countless Nashua residents facing a vast range of assorted legal
challenges with fairness, understanding, compassion and the utmost professionalism.
Equaily impressive is Bob’s successful revival of our local community radio station WSMN 1590. tn
March, 2017 Bob purchased WSMN, a local radio station that first aired in March, 1958, Through sheer
tenacity and determination Bob and George Russell transformed a one-time popular, but long defunct,
radio station into an all encompassing and inviting forum. Sob and George are the driving force, the
architect, behind the engaging pragraming and inciusive atmosphere fostered at WSMN 1590 radio.
Under Bob and George's stewardship, local residents may tune in anytime and listen to a wide
assortment of relevant content — quality content that changes by the hour. For example, in the morning
one may tune in and listen to a lively political debate and, several hours later, one may tune in again and
listen to a sports program. Bob and George warmly invite groups fram all walks and stations in life onto
the airwaves. In short, WSMN is the heartbeat of tocal democracy.
Bob are George are the most qualified candidate to transform public access television. For them, it is no
giant leap to pivot from resurrecting the local radio waves to rejuvenating the local television station.
With their proven investment of time and dedication to local programming (and, by virtue, our local
community}, it is beyond all doubt that Bob and George will successfully transform community television
in the same fashion that he completely reinvigorated and revived WSMN.
