| received an email from alderman Patricia Klee regarding the mask mandate.
My husband and | are in favor of it.

We are fully vaccinated but agree that this mandate is in the public's best interest.

We traveled to California in the summer where there was a mandate in place. We are currently traveling internationally
where there is a mask mandate in place. We agree that this is in the best interest of Nashua and its citizen’s health.

Dear City of Nashua Alderman,

| am writing to express my support for the proposed legislation that would approve the city to issue a
bond to purchase the 15 Bartlett Ave property. | have heard complaints about this being a “NIMBY”
(Not in my Back Yard) reaction. | would absolutely disagree; | do not live in the neighborhood- even in
the ward- and | am very much against the development of this property.

| understand that the property is not part of Greeley Park even though it does abut it, but it would be a
shame and a disservice to generations to come if the 13 acres of beautiful old forest is destroyed.
The developer has made it clear that he plans to clear-cut the land. I am passionate about the city’s
remaining green space, especially in light of the current climate crisis. This will absolutely impact Greeley
Park for the thousands of visitors who enjoy it each year, not to mention the destruction of those
beautiful trees and what that means for the climate crisis.

It is not too late to move forward with this one step in the right direction.

Sincerely,

Geri Panno

Experienced staff provided by BRBTV will operate the studio’s editing stations, and train
and assist public contributors on the use of these stations.

Hosted Programs

Hosted programs are regularly scheduled programs produced in-studio and hosted by a
“personality” with one or more guests. BRBTV will particularly promote these programs, as
they have proven popular with the public.

Public Contributed Programs

(1) Accept video content from public contributors in the form prescribed by BRBTV.
Content will be previewed by any of our managers or video editors, depending on the
contributor, to ascertain it complies with acceptable standards.

(2) Loan video camera equipment to Nashua residents, on demand. Equipment will be
verified to function when loaned out and when returned.

Train Nashua residents wishing to produce video on the use of equipment, and the use of
the editing stations.

Training of members of the public wishing to use P-Channel equipment will be
performed by two people well known in the local community for having owned and
operated for 22 years the over-the-air VHF broadcast and cablecast WYCN TV-13

Good afternoon-

I would like to encourage you to vote to reinstate the mask mandate for Nashua. If all citizens are not going to
receive the vaccine then we need to do something to make it safe for others to get out and live their lives.
Wearing a mask is a simple thing for an individual to do for the good of many.

Subject: In Support of Mask Ordinance and Our Healthcare Workers

CAUTION: This email came from outside of the organization. Do not click links/open attachments if source is

Respected Board of Aldermen,

I'd like to thank Alderman Klee for communicating with us about the recent BoH meeting and inviting our
opinion on the proposed mask ordinance in Nashua.

I am in full support of this ordinance. Frankly, it's a no-brainer.

My wife works in a hospital. She spares me the horror stories of what these nurses and doctors go through
every day. But she does occasionally share with me how her colleagues feel.

They are numb. Angry. Disillusioned. Demoralized. Baffled by the public's refusal to take simple steps to
protect themselves and others. They are understaffed and overwhelmed. They are beyond frustrated. They
want to scream. And they are LEAVING their profession.

That's the thing. These are people. With real emotions, like you and me. Even superheroes have limits. And I
fear we are extremely close to reaching those limits.

This is not specific to my wife's hospital. This is every hospital. Yesterday, I read an article in which Dr. John
Hick, an ER doctor in MN, described his work. "It feels like you are drinking from a fire hose with no way to
control that flow," said Dr. Hick. "I've been practicing for 25 years in the emergency department and every shift
I am working these days is like the worst shift of my career."

The leaders at the hospital in Minnesota took out a full-page newspaper ad this week. "We're heartbroken.
We're overwhelmed. Our emergency departments are overfilled, and we have patients in every bed in our
hospitals."

This is not some abstract, hypothetical issue in a far-away place. This is here. This is now. NH is one of the
top US states in cases per capita. The National Guard is assisting NH hospitals. ICU beds at Manchester's Eliot
Hospital are at 162 percent capacity, and 90 percent of their COVID patients are unvaccinated.

But we're not talking about vaccination here. That's a different issue for a different day. Today, we're talking
about a very simple, painless, and non-invasive step to curb the spread of this virus. A step every person can
take to turn down the fire hose and give our doctors and nurses a break.

Masks work. That's a fact. Masks are necessary to curb Covid. Unfortunately, most people won't voluntarily
wear them. That's why a mandate IS necessary. Without it, I truly fear for our hospitals’ ability to care for our
citizens. How can we expect them to continue to care for us if we don't take this simple step for them?

Ladies and Gentlemen:

Oh Lord, please, not again! There is no need to repeat the unwarranted, knee jerk reactions of the past to the
current, natural progression of the Covid-19 virus. It's hard to recall a situation where more misinformation has
been heaped upon the public. This proposed ordinance emanating from the Nashua Board of Health might be
well-intentioned, but is simply unnecessary, and definitely infringes on the rights of all Nashua citizens.

The proposed ordinance begins by throwing out statistics. We've all seen that the Covid-19 statistics have been
manipulated by different people for different reasons. The case of former NY Gov. Cuomo lying about the
Covid-19 related fatalities in nursing homes has been well documented. He was trying to hide his
incompetence. On the other side, there have been too many reports of fatalities being attributed to Covid-19
when the virus had nothing to do with it. My favorite is the hit & run traffic victim whose death was attributed
to Covid-19 because the victim might have been exposed to the virus shortly before the accident. At this point,
I am skeptical of all these statistics.

Next, the ordinance introduces the fear, uncertainty and doubt regarding the dread "Omicron" variant. Yet the
South African doctor who first identified and reported Omicon has been quite vocal in denouncing the gross
overreaction to this variant, whose effects to date more closely mimic the common cold (another virus) rather

than a truly deadly disease.

The ordinance makes the blanket statement that "we know that vaccines are safe" when in fact we know that a
much larger % of those vaccinated than would have been expected have experienced ill effects, up to and
including death, from the vaccination. And the ordinance later states that the order applies to all regardless of
vaccination status. If vaccinations are so great and so effective, why is it irrelevant whether one is
vaccinated? And it would apply to all persons over 2 years of age! And there is no mention of natural
immunity already gained by those who have already recovered from Covid-19. Nonsense!

The ordinance then makes the statement "In fact, in one of the most controlled settings known, an outbreak of
Covid-19 in the contained environment of an aircraft carrier, wearing a face covering was associated with a
70% reduction in the risk of infection with Covid-19.". As we know, an aircraft carrier is a warship that serves
as a seagoing airbase, equipped with a full-length flight deck and facilities for carrying, arming, deploying, and
recovering aircraft. To which "contained environment” is the ordinance referring? Some particular section of
the carrier? The open air deck where much of the activity takes place? What has that got to do with

Nashua? There are also well qualified medical professionals who maintain that masks, except for the N95 class
or more sophisticated masks, do virtually nothing. The ordinance doesn't specify N95 masks, nor should it.

Looking at Covid-19 situations state by state in the US, a case can be made that the states and localities without
these types of draconian restrictions are faring better than those forcing their citizens to comply with unpopular,
and likely unconstitutional, mandates such as that proposed by this ordinance.

Subject: Mask Mandate

CAUTION: This email came from outside of the organization. Do not click links/open attachments if source is

Members of the Board,

I am against the reinstatement of the Mask Mandate for Nashua. At this point, this will not be an effective
means for reducing the numbers by January 31, 2022 or shortly thereafter.

Eighteen months into this event has provided ample time to educate the public regarding hand washing, social
distancing, masking and vaccination. Given the significant number of positive COVID cases for Nashua
combined with the vaccination rate, the City is well on its way to a significant level of natural or pharmaceutical
immunity.

To institute a mandate for all businesses but leave restaurants, bars, clubs and casinos open with a largely
unmasked population simply makes no sense, particularly during the Holiday season.

Recently, an Alderwoman spoke about her first hand encounter with fatigued hospital staff overwhelmed with
COVID cases. If the concern is really for hospital staff, then closing bars, casino's, clubs and

operation restaurants for take out only would offer a reasonable attempt to reduce hospitalizations. Forcing
masking on everyone else seems nonsensical.

The situation with New Hampshire's hospitals appears to be in part the result of short sighted legislation that
restricted hospital expansion over a 40 year period to reduce the competitiveness between facilities. This has

created a bed shortage.

https://jbartlett.org/202 1/12/state-laws-have-limited-the-supply-of-new-hospital-beds-for-decades/

Unsurprisingly, COVID will act much like the flu with variants appearing yearly. If we trust medical experts,
this new variant does not require a different booster and, while more contagious, it is less severe.

I believe that Nashuans have made their decisions regarding their medical preferences and risk assessment and
government imposed mandates will be unwanted, unwelcomed, and ineffective.

Best wishes for a safe and happy holiday,
Laurie Ortolano
