Qualification Statement: detailing experience on similar projects of scope, size & scale.

References: include at least 3 professional references (business name, contact, email address & phone number).
References may be contacted as part of our preliminary bid review to assist project committee in assessing Bidder

qualifications. Current City of Nashua personnel and elected officials shall not be used as references.

City Projects: Provide a list of project awards Bidder has received from the City of Nashua in the past 5 years.
Please include project detail, City department and City project lead.

Acknowledgement is made of receipt of the following addenda:

If notice of acceptance of this bid is given to the undersigned within ninety $0 days after the date of opening
of bids, or any time thereafter before this bid is withdrawn, the undersigned will execute and deliver a
contract in the prescribed form within 10 days after the contract has been presented to them for signature.

2021 Paving Program — Residential Roadways

To approve the award of the construction contract for the 2021 Paving Program —
Residential Roadways to Sunshine Paving Corporation of Hudson, NH in the amount of
$4,585,195. Funding will be through: Department: 160 Admin/Engineering; Fund: Bond;
Activity: Paving; Department 161 Streets; Fund: Trust; Account Classification: 81 Capital
Improvements; Department: 169 Wastewater; Fund: Bond; Activity: Sewer Rehab.

The 2021 Paving Program — Residential Roadways contract is expected to pave
approximately 15.5 miles of City streets. Repair methods such as shim, overlays, milling
and reclamation will be used. Other work required includes replacing nonstandard and
broken drainage and sewer castings, repairing/replacing catch basins and manholes (sewer
and drains), ADA ramp work, and reconstructing driveway transitions.

The contract was advertised for bids on January 21, 2021. Five contractors submitted bids
on February 11, 2021 and are listed below:

Continental Paving, Inc. of Londonderry, NH $4,628,675.00
EJ Paving Co. Inc. of Methuen, MA $4,726,880.00
Newport Construction Corporation of Nashua, NH $4,864,970.69
Brox Industries, Inc. of Dracut, MA $5,652,600.00

Sunshine Paving of Hudson, NH at a bid price of $4,585,195.00 is the qualified low bidder.
Sunshine Paving successfully completed two paving program contracts of similar scale for
the City in 2020.
