Until a more thoughtful and more fully vetted approach is applied, where people are offered the
opportunity to better understand what this is, or could be, all about, | cannot support this.

Dear Board of Aldermen,

With all due respect, I am writing today to express that I do not support the use of concrete barriers downtown
in any capacity. Not for this coming spring/summer 2022 and certainly not for the next three years.

Thank you for your service to our community and for hearing my voice.

Subject: Expanded Main Street Dining

CAUTION: This email came from outside of the organization. Do not click links/open attachments if source is

Hello,

We live on Franklin Street, around the comer from Main Street and we support the expanded outdoor dining.
Although, I would love to see something other than Jersey barricades, like flower boxes or wooden barriers, but
if that’s our only option, then bring them back please.

We dine out 2-3 times a week, sometimes just walking down for a cocktail and to sit out on a nice night. More
people dining downtown means more people in shops also and more people engaged in the City.

From what I see, this is an “all or nothing” proposal, but if compromise could be made with movable barriers so
that they aren’t blocking the streets when the restaurant isn’t opened, that might appease some people.

And one more suggestion: when people complain, stating opposition to the expanded dining, ask them how
often they even go downtown. We live here, love living downtown and partake of the expanded dining many
times each week,

Thank you!

Hello,

Iam writing to voice my opinion, as a taxpayer, regarding the barriers on Main Street.
This was great when it was needed. If we no longer need a mask mandate, especially in
our schools, there is no need for expanded outdoor dining. Restaurants need to go back

to regular outdoor dining without being expanded out into the street.

The fact that the police/emt said the barriers added to response time should be enough
for you to remove them now out of concern for the safety of your constituents.

How can you even suggest another three years? Please end this insanity.
Thank you.

To all Aldermen, my name is Chris Thibodeau from ward 6 this is regarding dining on main street.

I like the vibe of the dining on main street and may have been helpful to a point get restaurants some help last
year but it's honestly not practical. It takes up parking that is already hard enough to find. The restaurants have
been allowed sidewalk dining and that already already takes up the side walks, that is more than enough. A
friend informed me that it is having the opposite impact to the non restaurant shop owners. It impacts the flow
of traffic especially during high use times. For my representative the vote should be no.

If the vote is agreed upon there is no reason why it needs to be approved for three consecutive years, it should
be an annual thing that gets looked into.

Thank you for your time

One more issue they also cause havoc with emergency vehicles trying to get through with is traffic packed so
tight. These barriers are taking up our space to move over for emergency vehicles.

They make traffic a nightmare and are no longer needed. We should be able to go back to sidewalk outdoor
seating the way it was prior to the covid outbreak.

Dear Board of Aldermen

| am against putting the barriers on Main Street.

They slow down emergency vehicles and all other traffic,

They are aiso a terrible eyesore. The so called art makes it look like a slum.

Subject: Outside restaurant seating

CAUTION: This email came from outside of the organization. Do not click links/open attachments if source is

Good Morning All,

i'm writing to urge everyone to support the initiative to reinstitute our Downtown outdoor seating this Spring/Summer
and Fall.

Outdoor dining allows more peaple to enjoy the wonderful restaurants our city offers, which in turn enhances revenues
for our restaurants, and creates more employment opportunities for our people. We need more great restaurants to
support our coming Nashua Center for the Arts! | believe this will encourage more investment in these businesses and
bring new ones to the area.

Outdoor dining creates an artistic, welcoming and safe view of our great city.

Outdoor dining increases foot traffic downtown which benefits other shops and businesses in the Main St area.

Please vote to allow outdoor dining in the downtown !

Subject: NO Jersey Barriers

CAUTION: This email came from outside of the organization. Do not click links/open attachments if source is

Dear Alderwomen and Aldermen:

I am not in favor of Main Street jersey barrier at all. They jam up traffic
most esp. all the times there are accidents on the highway, they block
parking for all the other businesses especially with High St city lot sold
now, and look like slum graffiti. Restaurants across the rest of the city
were not catered to and handed a street lane, such as Pine St Eatery or
Roland's, let alone DW Hwy South or Amherst Street restaurants Why
would you keep playing favorites with their economy. Covid is

done. Bad enough they have tables on the sidewalk, they don't need to
take away our roads, then use tables only 2 nights out of 7, and not all of
8 months a year in the cold. Let the ambulances get to the hospital in
time, they come all the towns west of us
