Subject: AGAINST the installation of concrete barriers

CAUTION: This email came from outside of the organization. Do not click links/open attachments if source is unknown.

Hello, I’m writing because | am opposed to the concrete barriers being installed in downtown Nashua once again as well
as the next two years. While | agree an emergent situation at the beginning of our Covid times it may have been a good
idea it is no longer feasible for most towns people. My personal situation- | have a handicapped mother who has a very
hard time accessing businesses and parking downtown that | often bring with me. | also make use of the local hospital
on a regular basis and have a very hard time getting back-and-forth from my home as this is the only roadway to and
from. It is very congested and I’ve had much anxiety with people running across streets, not crossing in the cross walks,
being belligerent in the roadways and hanging on barriers because they are “visiting their friends” that are dining
outside. | also get very nervous at red lights especially because there have been multiple occasions there have been
emergency personnel that could not get through behind me and I have nowhere to safely move to. The thought of the
PAC is driving me to consider moving because my downtown does not seem like a pleasurable place anymore. | have
friends that live downtown and especially in the summertime months they are unable to get packages delivered to their
house because Amazon and other carriers have no place to safely pull aside to deliver. It’s a place | fear. | hate to go.
Luckily one of the cons of having Covid around for so long is that most places have found more ways to be more
convenient/accessible to me. Lastly it is not fair to other tocal Nashua businesses that due to their location they are
allowed additional business space. All of Amherst st would benefit too I’m sure, but that is not something they are
offered. Again | am Opposed to the barriers going up!

Please do not use the barriers any longer.

Since the barriers have gone up, I haven't been able to shop at any store downtown Nashua during those months
which is the majority of the year.

I cannot walk far so parking behind Main St doesn't work for me and the | or 2 spots that are available are
always in use.

Please no barriers!!!

We do not need the barriers back on Main St! They are a major issue for Police, Fire and EMS. It has been
mentioned many times that they have caused delays in response time. They are an eye sore and make Main St
look like trash. There is no reason seating needs to be extended off the sidewalks. I haven't shopped on Main St
because of them and I don't even use Main St either because of the barriers. With restrictions for covid going
away. There isn't a need for them. You are hurting other businesses on Main St because of them. Spend the
money repairing the streets before making thern lock more like trash.

Please do not bring back the barriers on Main Street. Sidewalk seating for restaurants would be sufficient and not block
traffic and much needed parking spaces.

Thank you.

Subject: Main St Barriers

CAUTION: This email came from outside of the organization. Do not click links/open attachments if source is

Good Evening,
I would like to share my opposition for the addition of cones and concrete barriers along Main St in Nashua.

The congestion increased response time of emergency response. Those few minutes may not seem like much,
but if your house is burning or you are in need of an ambulance a few minutes could make all the difference.

Additionally, the concrete barriers are not overly distracting, but the addition of orange barrels, orange cones,
and white cones marking the bike lane make it incredibly hard to see pedestrians who are attempting to cross.

Thank you for reading this email.

Sincerely,
Elizabeth Collard

Subject: The outside dining seating/ barriers

CAUTION: This email came from outside of the organization. Do not click links/open attachments if source is

Dear Alderman,

I know the barriers downtown is up for discussion. I just wanted to let you know we frequent the downtown
area on a weekly basis and we are not a fan of the barriers. Most of the time the tables are half empty especially
during the week. I would not mind if they can put some restaurants can put some outside tables against their
buildings, on the sidewalk but the need is no longer there. Traffic was a mess last year and the barriers looked
ugly painted. Then a makeshift bike lane was added which made it look even worse. Now that restaurants can
now have 100% capacity I don't see the point of blocking up lanes of downtown traffic. I also know plenty of
people avoided downtown due to the lack of parking on main street itself and some people really don't feel
comfortable parking at the creepy parking garages especially at night.

Thanks,

Subject: Expanded Outdoor Dining for Summer 2022

CAUTION: This email came from outside of the organization. Do not click links/open attachments if source is unknown.
Dear Board of Aldermen,

| understand the topic of whether to continue expanded outdoor dining on Main Street this summer is coming up for a
vote soon, and | am writing to express my support.

My family and | have very much enjoyed the expanded outdoor dining and have found ourselves much more likely to
come downtown with more options available for sitting outside when the weather is nice.

We very much hope the Board of Alderman will vote to continue this in Summer 2022.
Kind Regards
