TO: Bidders & Others to Whom Bidding Documents have been issued by the CM

All items in this Addendum shall supersede or clarify the Bidding Documents as
originally issued. The cost of the work of all trades affected by the changes in this
Addendum shall be included in the Base Bid or Altemates, as applicable. Failure to do
so may subject the Bidder to disqualification.

This Addendum forms a part of the Contract Documents. It supplements and/or
modifies them as follows:

BIDDER QUESTIONS:

Q-001 What is the project start and timeline?
> Anticipated ground breaking is June 1, 2017
> 6-month construction schedule.

Q-002 What is the specification for Linoleum in Kitchen & Corridor 101?
Commercial lino with 4” cove

Q-003 Please confirm scope of work at stairs.
VCT stair landings only, treads to remain

Q-004 Architect wants 2 layers 1 %” rigid instead of 1 layer of 3”? Is he looking
for us to install one layer vertically with zee channel then install another
layer horizontally?

If the only way to install two layers is by using z-furring, ok, but we would
like to install a hat channel over the second layer for attachment of
siding. Can we attach first layer, then offset seams of second layer and
attached with hat channel to wall behind?

The CMU wall against the existing building (and follows column line 4); at
the top where my LG rafters go, the block does not ascend all the way full
height. Am | to carry some type of support framing there?

We are showing light gauge metal framing infill where the elevator overrun
extends above the existing building roof. It is not structural.

The detail says TOW at CMU is 29’ — 4” but the structural drawings
say 26’ — 10”. Which height is correct?
Refer to Architectural for elevations

Apparatus Bay 101 calls for a painted exposed OH deck. Apparatus Bay
110 does not call to be painted. Is this correct or should both bays be
painted?

Paint both.

Gear Room 112 does not indicate any painting on the room finish
schedule? Please confirm if this is correct.
Gear Room 112 will have painted walls and ceiling

Spec Section 099123, 2.3B, #3: Would Prolndustrial Pro-Cryl Universal
Metal Primer be acceptable in lieu of the All Surface Enamel Primer as the
All Surface enamel is usually only stocked in quarts and is not OTC
Compliant in gallons.

Spec Section 099123, 2.3C, #3: Would Prolndustrial Pro-Cryl Universal
Metal Primer be acceptable in lieu of the Solvent based Galvite HS for a
more environmentally friendly product that is also designed to prime
Galvanized metals?

Yes

Spec Section 099123, 2.3 Interior Primers does not specify a primer for
CMU. Should we carry Lightweight or Heavy Duty Block Filler?

Spec Section 099123 does not call out a finish topcoat & sheen for
Ferrous Metals. Please specify the desired coating system.

Spec Section 099123 does not call out a finish topcoat & sheen for
Galvanized Metals. Please specify the desired coating system.

Spec Section 099123 does not call out a desired paint system for the
Exposed Structure Ceiling. Please specify if a Dryfall system is acceptable
or what should be carried for the bid.

Dryfall is acceptable. S/W pro industnal waterbome acrylic dryfall is one
product.

RCP calls for the ceiling in Tower 209 to be ETR. Finish schedule calls for
Tower 209 ceiling to be painted. Which is correct?
Paint

Fitness Room 218 is open to structure. It is not called off on the Finish
schedule as such and therefore does not specify any finishes. What is the
desired finish for the ceiling?

The room will be open to structure, painted.

There is no detail of the overhang at the new Apparatus bay door. Please
clarify the soffit detail above door 110?
Yet to be fully detailed, but most likely an exterior metal soffit.

Linoleum is now being used for the Kitchen ... do you have a spec for this
material?

use sheet goods, color determined later by Owner:

Armnstrong LinoArt Marmorette Linoleum

Who will supply the plymovent and connections.
Plymovent will be supplied & installed by Owner's subcontractor.

Spec pg. 221005-3 sect 2.3 sanitary waste and vent. Specifies No-Hub
cast iron pipe and fittings. At the walk through yesterday the existing looks
to be sch 40 PVC w/DWY fittings. As shown on the drawings there are
multiple tie-ins to the existing material. Please clarify which material to be
used.

The mechanical engineer assumed cast iron because of durability. Price
cast iron in base pricing and PVC as deduct altemate.

Q-022 Gear Room 102 (Currently the gym) indicated Existing ACT. Upon walking
the site yesterday, the ceiling is painted exposed structure. Should ACT
be installed or will it be left as is and repainted to deck? If it is to be
repainted, should we also carry repainting the deck itself?

ELECTRICAL CLAIRIFICATION:

E-001

Replace Electric Riser Keynote #1 as follows:

PROVIDE A 125 AMPERE, 3 POLE CIRCUIT BREAKER IN EXISTING
SQUARE D COMPANY NQOD TYPE PANELBOARD MDP TO FEED
THE NEW 20 HORSEPOWER ELEVATOR. VERIFY ACTUAL
HORSEPOWER OF ELEVATOR BEING INSTALLED AND PROVIDE
CIRCUIT BREAKER, EPMD, FUSES AND CONDUCTORS SIZED FOR
THE ACTUAL ELEVATOR PROVIDED FOR INSTALLATION AT THIS
PROJECT. THE ‘EMPD’ SHALL BE PROVIDED AS A 200 AMPERE,
FUSIBLE, LISTED ELEVATOR POWER MODULE DISCONNECT,
EQUAL TO A 200 AMPERE, BUSSMAN # PS 2 T20 R1 RBF3 T. UNIT
SHALL BE NEMA 1 ENCLOSED AND PROVIDE WITH FUSE
REDUCERS AS DEEMED NECESSARY TO MATCH REQUIRED TIME
DELAY FUSING BY THE ELEVATOR INSTALLER.
