What is
Community
Power?

A Brief Background

-Community Power will allow the City to purchase
electricity supply from third party suppliers and the
wholesale market on behalf of it's residents. The utility
will still maintain control of the delivery portion of the
energy bill.

-Through the aggregation the City will be able to
charge less per KWH than the Utility while also
collecting a 1/10 of a cent brokerage fee from the
third party supplier.

-The City Plans to use this fee to reinvest in energy
programs for the Community to help reach our 100%
renewable energy by 2050 goal.

Project Status

COMMUNITY POWER IS MOVING FORWARD

We are currently in the process of creating a draft
aggregation plan for the Nashua Aggregation
Committee to review, edit and bring to the Board of
Aldermen for next steps.

We have requested and received intial data from
Eversource including the number of energy accounts
in Nashua (48,860), and an overall idea of how much
Energy the City uses every year (404k MWH).

We have been attending regular data meetings with
the Public Utilities Commission and Utilities make
sure we can get the rest of the data we need to
implement a program.

Community Power New
Hampshire (CPNH)

e We have started to collaborate with

other communities in New Hampshire
to create a back office that will allow
us to share the cost of program
upkeep. We will also be able to
reinvest in renewable energy together
because our $ is stronger together.

The communities include: Nashua,
Lebanon, and Hanover, and Cheshire
County

We are currently in the process of
working with legal representation
(funded by Lebanon and Hanover) to
start up this organization.

ASSOCIATION OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS AND SUPERVISORS, AMERICAN
FEDERATION OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS, AFL-CIO FROM JULY 1, 2020
THROUGH JUNE 30, 2021 AND RELATED TRANSFERS

In the Year Two Thousand and Twenty

RESOLVED by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Nashua that the cost items of the
attached collective bargaining agreement between the Nashua Board of Education and the
Nashua Association of School Administrators and Supervisors, American Federation of School
Administrators, AFL-CIO are approved. The collective bargaining agreement covers the period
from July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021.

FUTHER RESOLVED that $72,933 be transferred from Department 194 ~ Contingency,
Account #70150 “Contingency, Negotiations” into Department 191 — School, Account #51900
“Salary Adjustments” for the purpose of funding FY2021 base salary adjustments contained in
this agreement.
