Alderman Jette

Thank you. So that’s what | guessed as well. So basically it’s an opportunity for the people who are in favor to say why
they’re in favor of this and it’s an opportunity for the people who are against it to say why we should vote against it. The
Board of Aldermen is not going to be voting on this. This is now going to be on the ballot and it’s going to be up to the
voters to decide one way or the other.

President Wilshire

That’s true.

Alderman Jette

that the benefits of spending this money in the various ways in which are proposed help various people across the city,
various interests, and it is more beneficial for us to spend this money this way because we’ve already collected it from
taxpayers then to give it back to them only to ask for it later on and with inflation being the way it is have it be even more
expensive. So this is a better use of funds. Its better management of the money and in my opinion, this Resolution is the
best way to go.

Line 28 for Your Voice Your Choice. | think that's a wonderful program, but that was already appropriated in one of the
Mayor's approved re-appropriations.

Line 23 for cell phones. My concern is we do budget $135,000 for cell phones for the city staff and | question whether
$7,000 could be put to better use. All requests for cellphone budgets were approved in our budget process and so | like to
consider putting that toward something else.
