A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen was held Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at 7:30 p.m. in the
Aldermanic Chamber.

President Brian S. McCarthy presided; City Clerk Patricia D. Piecuch recorded.

Prayer was offered by City Clerk Patricia D. Piecuch; Alderman-at-Large Lori Wilshire led in the Pledge
to the Flag.

The roll call was taken with 14 members of the Board of Aldermen present; Alderman Ben Clemons,
recorded absent. Alderman-at-Large Daniel T. Moriarty arrived after roll call at 7:34 p.m.

1 don't think we should be having a conversation on any Board subject via email as it violates the right to know law. There
was no problem with the President putting out a message to the full Board on when something was going to be
addressed, but we should not be discussing the pros and cons of the legislation nor the legislation process on-line. If you
wanted to impart this information to the President you could have called him. | will not render an opinion on the subject of
your email.
