Happy holidays, Merry Christmas. However you celebrate, do it safely and I'll see you next year.
Committee announcements:
Alderman O’Brien
Infrastructure Committee - It seems like we have nothing pending. We would have been on a 229. If | hear anything, I'll
let you know but hopefully we might skate and so therefore you can bake your sugar cookies. Thank you.
Alderman Dowd
Yes. Joint Special School Building Committee this Thursday at Nashua High North. Masks required.
It looks like we don't have anything on the agenda for the Budget meeting of December 27" so unless something comes
up that I'm not aware of we're gonna cancel that meeting.
Alderman Tencza
Similarly PEDC is scheduled for next week. We were supposed to have a public hearing. It looks like that continued until
January. So please stay tuned. We will let you know whether we need the meeting next week or not. Thank you.

Purchase International HV607 Water Tank Truck & Two-Way Radio
from FY 2022 Capital Equipment Reserve Fund (CERF)
The purpose of this communication is to give additional information related to the need to purchase
one (1) 2021 International HV607 Tandem Axle Water Tank Truck at a cost greater than ten
percent of the estimated replacement value.
The original estimate for the vehicles approved for the FY 2022CERF was $112,000. The actual
cost for the vehicle from CERF will be $127,997 plus $5,000 to purchase a two-way radio. The
vehicles is over the 10% CERF threshold and needs to be approved by the Board of Aldermen.
Funds are available in CERF due to cost savings on several DP W items in FY 2022 along with the
additional funds placed in CERF. This purchase was approved by the Finance Committee on
December 1, 2021 contingent upon the full Board of Aldermen approval of this letter.
Pursuant to NRO $5-127.1 D Capital Equipment Reserve Fund, which states: “During that fiscal
year, the city may purchase that equipment, or equipment that will serve the same stated purpose
as the listed equipment as long as the price does not vary by more than ten percent of the estimated
replacement value. All purchases from the Capital Equipment Reserve Fund must comply with
the city’s purchasing approval process. Any other requests to use funds from the Capital
Equipment Reserve Fund must be approved by the board of aldermen.”
I respectfully request the approval from the Board of Aldermen for the purchase of an
International HV607 Tandem Axle Water Tank Truck from Allegiance Trucks in Manchester,
New Hampshire in the amount of $127,997 and. a two-way radio from Motorola in an amount
not-to-exceed $5,000 for the Division of Public Works Solid Waste Department as requested.
