Secondly financially it doesn’t make sense. Every business is somebody’s dream. They put everything into
it, it is their goal, they want to work for themselves, they sacrifice everything, they sacrifice time, they
sacrifice time with their family, they miss their kid’s baseball games. Just so that they can run their
business. And so when we sit there and we say oh we are going to do this, you are not only destroying a
business, which you really are just destroying out of fear, but we are destroying somebody’s dreams. And
who really cares if you survive COVID if your business and livelinood is wrecked. | love how we call
everything well that’s job is essential and this job isn’t essential. If that is the job that you use to provide for
your family, it is essential. It is essential to you regardless of what some politician says.

And the last thing | would say is what is the message that we are sending to our kids? That the second that
a virus with a 99% survival rate comes that we run in fear? | was in the Marine Corp Infantry, | went to Iraq,
Afghanistan, multiple times. I’ve seen war and I’ve seen kids there going to school and having ID’s go off
having firefights break out and they still go to school. Yet here we are with our schools closed wanting to
close down people’s businesses at 9:30 out of fear. We lived in California before we were in Nashua, we
left California because of this type of Government overreach. | left to get away from this type of politics, |
didn’t come here to sit here and have the Government and the local politicians sit there and tell people what
they can and can’t do. It should be you Know our choice to do what we choose to do. Live free or die,
please vote no.

President Wilshire

Thank you. Tyler Ramrath?

Tyler Ramrath Tyler Ramrath of 34 Tufts Drive. | spoke last night, my comment is to note the exercised
bias demonstrated ... (poor audio — audio cuts in and out)

President Wilshire

You're breaking up Tyler, we are having a hard time hearing you.

Tyler Ramrath 34 Tufts Drive is that better.

President Wilshire

That’s better.

Tyler Ramrath My comment is to note the exercised bias demonstrated last night during the Special
Meeting on the part of the Board in regards to the proposed curfew ordinance. Extra time was
conspicuously afforded to those comments in favor of the proposed ordinance in contradiction to the stated
goals of (audio cuts out) commenting as it pertains to the proposed curfew. That impropriety is well noted
by this constituent and many others. Thank you.

President Wilshire

| don’t see anyone else’s hand up. We are going to move on. Recognition Period.

Unidentified Speaker Albert’s hand was up. Albert Veteese..

President Wilshire

Albert has already spoken once.

Unidentified Speaker Gotcha.

Alderman Dowd.
Alderman Dowd
Yes, just very quickly we just went through the Safe Schools Construction on Charlotte Avenue and we will
be repaving the street in the spring and we will have flashing light indicators on either side of the school
limiting it to 20 miles an hour when people are in school. Right now it’s a 30 mile an hour and the neighbors
all asked for a 25 mile an hour speed limit so that people get used to going slow in front of a school. People
have been caught doing excessive speed on Charlotte Avenue and we want to slow that down. Thank you.

President Wilshire

ON THE QUESTION

And I'd like to speak to it.

President Wilshire

Alderman Lopez?

Alderman Lopez

So this, | am going to outline a little bit of wnat the Board probably knows but just because the public is still
tuning in, there a number of people who noted that they hadn’t actually heard the other meeting so this
might seem a little bit redundant. But we have a Board of Health with three physicians on it and their role is
to make public health recommendations for the general welfare and health of the Nashua area. They were
the ones that we turned to for everything from whether dogs can eat in restaurants or how we are going to
handle a Lyme Disease outbreak. That’s what they normally handle. This year we have a pandemic,
they’ve been acting really in the way that the City originally intended and we’ve been fortunate enough to
have a Board of Health with two experts in disease control. So we reviewed their recommendations, for
example, for the mask mandate, and for the amendment to it that was subsequent.
