Hold a project kickoff meeting and site visit with the City staff to review the existing fan installation
and overall ventilation scheme of the stairwell area. Assess options for relocation to interior or wall-
mounted fan with better access for maintenance. Meeting to include project engineer and
mechanical (HVAC) engineer. Assume meeting will be held concurrently with kick-off meeting for
second heat exchanger project.

Prepare 30% preliminary design package including the following:
a) Process and instrumentation diagrams of propased installation.
b} Process plan and sections of the proposed exhaust fan installation.

c) Technical memorandum summarizing the proposed improvements including a functional
description of the intended operation of the exhaust fan.

d) Meet with the City to review the preliminary design package. Address City comments in writing.

Prepare 95% design drawings and specifications. Assume City staff will be responsible for bidding and
contractual documents. The 95% design package will include:

a) Process and instrumentation diagrams of proposed installation.

b} Plan and sections of the proposed replacement exhaust fan. Assume electrical design
information, such as wiring and conduit to fan, will be shown on same drawings as well as any
structural design requirements.

c) Where applicable, specification requirements may be provided on drawings.
d} Meet with the City to review.

Prepare 100% final design drawings and specifications addressing comments from City staff.
Engineer will NOT be responsible for preparing bidding or contract documents.

PROVIDED, FURTHER, that the said surety, for value received hereby stipulates and agrees
that no change, extension of time, alteration or addition to the terms of the contract or to WORK
to be performed thereunder or the specifications accompanying same shall in any way affect its
obligation on this BOND, and it does hereby waive notice of any such change, extension of time
