ON THE QUESTION
Jonathan Ibarra, Superintendent of Streets
Thank you, Mr. Mayor. So this purchase will be replacing truck 40 with 132,000 miles on it. That's primarily used by the
sign maintenance or traffic crews in their daily work. It'll come equipped with a crane, an onboard compressor that will
allow the guys to change out signs, do any traffic details, and anything to do. 40 will be kept in service as long as
possible. So it's no longer feasible to keep it on the road or if it fails inspection. And, again, I'm happy to answer any
questions on this purchase.
Mayor Donchess

ON THE QUESTION
Jonathan Ibarra, Superintendent of Streets
Thank you, Mr. Mayor. This purchase will be to replace our existing street sweeper 1292. It’s a Timco 600 regenerative
air sweeper. We're going to go with a vacuum sweeper, which seems to work a lot better around town to get a lot more
debris up off the street and the curb. This one that we're replacing has 6,392 hours and it's getting near the end of its life.
It’s got a lot of breakdowns. We do run five large sweepers from early spring until fall. They're actually still running now
and will continue to run as long as the weather permits. But this is key to keeping our city streets clean and safe. I'll take
any questions you may have on this purchase.
