Alderman Harriott-Gathright
| have a question. So what is a County Commissioners contract?
David Boucher, Superintendent of Wastewater
I'll let John answer that.
Jonathan Ibarra, Superintendent of Streets
That is a Massachusetts State bid.
Alderman Harriott-Gathright
It's a State bid?
Jonathan Ibarra, Superintendent of Streets
Massachusetts State bid?
Alderman Harriott-Gathright
Okay. So is that the same thing with the Boston Police Council contract?
Jonathan Ibarra, Superintendent of Streets
Yes. They have several of the contracts for Massachusetts.
Mayor Donchess
So they offer to when this bid takes place, they bid to a large governmental entity and agree to equal the price for every
other governmental entity. So the low bidder to a big contract like that, we can attach ourselves to that and get the same
price basically. We're likely to get a better price and we don't have to put it out to bid ourselves because of the volume
connected with that contract. All right. We didn't vote on that though. Please call the roll.
A viva voce roll call was taken which resulted as follows:
Yea: Alderman Klee, Alderman Harriott-Gathright, Alderwoman Kelly,
Alderman Laws, Alderman O’Brien, Mayor Donchess 6

Is there someone from Public Works here on this? Mr. Fredette is here to tell us that this will need approval of the full
