Vv. NOTICES
Notices required by this Agreement shall be in writing and delivered via mail (postage
prepaid), commercial courier, personal delivery, facsimile, email or other electronic means.
Any notice delivered or sent as aforesaid shall be effective on the date of delivery or
sending. All notices and other written communications under this Agreement shall be
addressed to the individuals in the capacities indicated below, unless otherwise modified by
subsequent written notice.

VI. GENERAL CONDITIONS
A. Antidiscrimination
The RECIPIENT agrees to comply with the following:
1. RSA 354-A: State of NH "Law Against Discrimination." Prohibits discrimination
because of age, sex, sexual orientation, race, creed, color, marital status, familial
status, physical or mental disability or national origin.
2. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990; The Age Discrimination Act of
1975, as amended: Prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability in employment
by state and local governments and in places of public accommodation and
commercial facilities. The Act defines the range of conditions that qualify as
disabilities and the reasonable accommodations that must be made to assure equality
of opportunity, full participation, independent living, and economic self-sufficiency
for persons with disabilities.
B. Independent Contractor
Nothing contained in this Agreement is intended to, or shall be construed in any manner, as
creating or establishing the relationship of employer/employee between the parties. The
Subrecipient shall at all times remain an independent contractor with respect to the services
to be performed under this Agreement. The CITY shall be exempt from payment of all
Unemployment Compensation, FICA, retirement, life and/or medical insurance and
Workers' Compensation Insurance, as the RECIPIENT is an independent contractor.
