Asa resident of Ward 2 for the past 23 years, my wife and | write to oppose placing the jersey barriers out again this
coming year. While we are grateful that the City implemented the use of these barriers to create more space for
outdoor dining during COVID, we do not believe it is necessary to continue the expanded seating areas. The reduced
flow of traffic makes it very difficult to travel downtown. As a practicing attorney in Nashua for over 23 years, it is
important for me to be able to travel downtown without unnecessary traffic. While my wife and | enjoy dining
downtown, we believe that the outdoor seating that has historically been limited to the sidewalk is more than sufficient.
Furthermore, when we go to patronize other businesses on Main Street, the jersey barriers result in us never being able
to secure parking on Main Street. We hope that you do not adopt this ordinance.
Thank you for your consideration.
