Board of Aldermen 11-09-2021 Page 18
Alderwoman Lu

Okay, thank you.

Alderman Klee

Madam President when I'm looking at the participants, it looks like one of the Commissioners may be on. | don't know if
he would be able to answer any of the questions.

President Wilshire

| don’t see anyone stepping up. | guess not. The grant itself has parameters that have to be followed in order for them to
get the money. So I'm okay with that. Motion to suspend, any further discussion? Okay would the Clerk please call the
roll?
A viva voce roll call was taken which resulted as follows:
Yea: Alderman O’Brien, Alderman Klee, Alderwoman Kelly, Alderman Dowd,
Alderman Caron, Alderman Clemons, Alderman Lopez, Alderman Tencza,
Alderwoman Lu, Alderman Jette, Alderman Laws, Alderman Cleaver,
Alderwoman Harriott-Gathright, Alderman Wilshire 14
Nay: 0
MOTION CARRIED
Given its second reading;

MOTION BY ALDERMAN DOWD FOR FINAL PASSAGE OF R-21-185, BY ROLL CALL

ON THE QUESTION

Alderman Klee

Thank you Madam President. In looking at the analysis of this, it's very clear that it says this that the resolution authorizes
the city to accepting $18,795 from the State of New Hampshire, Department of Justice, for the purpose of preventing,
preparing for, and responding to the Coronavirus. This funding is contingent upon approval by the Governor and
Executive Council and shall be in effect through January 20, 2022. And then it does say due to the short timeframe, the
Police Department is requesting final passage of this legislation at the November 9, 2021 Board of Aldermen meeting. No
local match is required. So | think that kind of somewhat answers some of the questions you have.

President Wilshire

Any further discussion on the motion for final passage? Seeing none, would the Clerk please call the roll?
A viva voce roll call was taken which resulted as follows:
Yea: Alderman O’Brien, Alderman Klee, Alderwoman Kelly, Alderman Dowd,

Alderman Caron, Alderman Clemons, Alderman Lopez, Alderman Tencza,

Alderwoman Lu, Alderman Jette, Alderman Laws, Alderman Cleaver,

Alderwoman Harriott-Gathright, Alderman Wilshire 14
Nay: 0
MOTION CARRIED

Resolution R-21-185 declared duly adopted.
