ON THE QUESTION
Alderman O’Brien
Can | explain that briefly that amended changed? Thank you. Being a Trustee for the Board of Public Works, what
unfortunately happened everybody was in so joy and unison approving this, it seems by looking at a later date at the
particular meeting minutes that even though everybody, you know, nodded and was in full agreement, that there wasn't
truly a formal vote. | can testify in my good name as a member of the Board of Trustees. It has the unanimous support of
the Board. Thank you.
President Wilshire
Thank you Alderman O’Brien. Discussion on that motion?
Alderman Clemons
Thank you, Madam President. Just to be clear, this is a motion to amend, correct to be contingent on the approval of the
Retirement Board?
President Wilshire
Yes. Okay so the motion is to amend by adding the...
Alderman O’Brien
The approval of the Board of Trustees of the PW Retirement System.
Alderman Harriott-Gathright
By roll call.
President Wilshire
Yes. Discussion on the motion to amend?
Alderman Jette
So thank you. So after we discovered that the Trustees were approving this but they didn't take a formal vote. There was
a question whether or not we could proceed legally. So the amendment was that we were going to check with Legal to
make sure that we can go ahead and approve it pending the approval of the Trustees. | just want to hear from Corporate
Counsel that we are proceeding okay here and we can do it. We're putting the kind of the cart before the horse and if
that's okay, that's fine.
Steve Bolton, Corporation Counsel
It's okay.
Alderman Jette
Thank you.
President Wilshire

Yea: Alderman O’Brien, Alderman Klee, Alderman Dowd, Alderman Caron,
