ON THE QUESTION

Alderman O’Brien

Thank you, Madam President. What does this - as you all know as a past member of Nashua Fire Rescue of 35 years,
this agreement has always in some form had been there. But upon recently, they did through negotiations change go to a
24 hour shift. They are still working 48 hours a week but there was a question on how to pay people who do military
service. Currently right now, | think there is only three current members of the Department that are truly patriotic that give
of their extra time to satisfy their requirement as part of their military duty. So this will ensure that these firefighters will
meet their pay. It's very similar to what exists currently with the Police Department as well and | urge your support. Thank
you.

A viva voce roll call was taken which resulted as follows:

Yea: Alderman O’Brien, Alderman Klee, Alderman Dowd, Alderman Caron,
Alderman Clemons, Alderman Lopez, Alderwoman Lu, Alderman Jette,
Alderman Schmidt, Alderman Cleaver, Alderwoman Harriott-Gathright,
