willing to pay for this bond. You have a drop in a bucket here of the people that wanted to come tonight or could come
tonight.
| am going to be at every Planning Board. I've already told Matt Sullivan I'm going to be his best friend. I'm going to
call him every week and get educated on what the Planning Board regs are. I'm going to use every tool in my
wheelhouse to fight this. The family has every right to sell the land but it abuts a community - a huge community
property. | am asking, and | don't even know if we can get a valid vote tonight. Are there 10 people? Do we have to
ten or just a majority for the bond?
Chairman Dowd
Just - I'll answer that question. We have a public hearing. After the public hearing, we're going to adjourn for a few
minutes and the Budget Committee will then address each one of these bonds and take action. And whatever action
is taken by the Budget Committee, it goes to the full Board of Aldermen and then the full Board of Aldermen will have
to take any final action.

So let me say this with my mother being a realtor, | learned a lot riding around in cars on weekends with her and
watching her do deals. Yes, the purchase and sales has been signed but this builder is going to have to build in
stages. He's not going to go to closing until a certain point. Anything can happen between the purchase and sales
and closing and there are alternatives. The kids can get what they want...

...and not sell to the city because there are other options. The city can be the hero and help negotiate so the people
that want to keep this park intact and add to it - also in here, you're supposed to add more trails by the way. |
encourage you to read this. Then the builder and the listing agent can get what they want without any money having
to be wasted on putting this property in - this development in. Thank you.
Chairman Dowd
Anyone else who wants to speak in favor? Dan Richardson.
Dan Richardson
Yes can you hear me?
Chairman Dowd
Yes, go ahead.

So the Board of Aldermen have a responsibility for spending money in the public interest for the greater good of the
city, for the environment of the citizens, and there's been a lot of wasteful spending that this Board of Alderman has
done. This expenditure is a community good. This is money that it would be well spent. It's necessary to provision
legally that you'll have the authority to bond this money. It does not say that you will spend all of the money. It just
says that you're provisioning enough in the event that you have to cover expenses of acquisition, paying for land,
paying for perhaps even the fees of a realtor, and any other expenses perhaps some planning expenses of the
developer in the event of an acquisition or change of plan. So please, please do pass this resolution and give the
authorization to borrow the money for the acquisition.
The other thing I'd like to say is I'd like to reinforce what Mr. Dickinson said about traffic in that area. We have a very
good school — Nashua Catholic Junior High School there and there is a tremendous amount of traffic. My children
went there. It is a great school. People know it's a great school and they send their children there and it's doing very
well. There's a lot of traffic. Parents drop their children off. They pick their children up and you've got to consider that
