So when this Ordinance moved forward, it seemed like the ideal time to kind of present both of those as
opportunities for the Cultural Connections Committee to enable more people to feel like they have a seat at the
table and they can have representation in City affairs.

| have two hands up for effect. | just wanted to thank Alderman Lopez for bringing up the additional
representation from the Deaf Community. And | would say to anyone here, if they have additional communities
that they think should be on this Committee, please bring them forward. Because the more representation we
have the better we can serve our constituency. So | am excited for both this and the LGBTQ members.
