Prayer was offered by City Clerk Patricia D. Piecuch; Alderman-at-Large Michael B. O’Brien, Sr. led in the
Pledge to the Flag.

The roll call was taken with members of the Board of Aldermen present; Alderman-at-Large Lori Wilshire and
Alderman Mary Ann Melizzi-Golja were recorded absent.

Corporation Counsel Stephen M. Bennett was also present.

The practice throughout the city is that we alternate lights; one on and one off and in this case you would
have three consecutive lights lit and I’m not sure if that’s a big deal or not.

encourage all of the Board of Aldermen to attend. It really puts a human face on the numbers and statistics
that we may be seeing and the need for the resources that we are custodians of.

Several of you got e-mails or texts from me regarding use of the microphone last night, especially the use
of the public microphone; it was not well situated for many of the speakers to be caught. | think if you are
running a meeting to make sure it’s all captured appropriately.
