A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen was held Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at 7:30 p.m. in the
Aldermanic Chamber.

President Brian S. McCarthy presided; City Clerk Patricia Piecuch recorded.
Prayer was offered by City Clerk Patricia Piecuch; Alderman David W. Deane led in the Pledge to the Flag.

The roll call was taken with 14 members of the Board of Aldermen present; Alderman-at-Large Daniel T. Moriarty
was recorded absent.

Mayor James W. Donchess and Corporation Counsel Steven A. Bolton were also in attendance.

Actually they would have to come here first. So, we will tentatively move the Personnel meeting for Monday,
the 2". ’ll have Sue communicate with the committee when another date would work for us. We'll get a
consensus on that. I’m going to cancel the meeting on the 2"° knowing that this is time sensitive but we need
time to get the appointments out there.

viewing hours this evening, and the funeral mass will be held tomorrow up in Manchester followed by a funeral

I’m sensitive too to Alderman Lopez’s concerns, but | don’t think anything in the amended legislation precludes
that. | think the good sense of the Board President the Mayor going forward, they will appoint people to consider
that.
