There will be, | assume, future development. There is some that’s already proposed for the Amherst Street
property which is multi-family housing in that particular area. On this particular road probably single-family
housing because R-18 is only single-family housing.

Caron that they could not join us this evening. As is customary, | will turn over the meeting to the Chairman
of the Planning & Economic Development Committee Alderman Tencza.

The roll call was taken with 12 members of the Board of Aldermen present: Alderman Michael B. O’Brien,
Sr., Alderwoman Shoshanna Kelly, Alderman Richard A. Dowd, Alderman Benjamin Clemons, Alderman
David C. Tencza, Alderwoman Elizabeth Lu, Alderman Ernest Jette, Alderman Jan Schmidt, Alderman
Brandon Michael Laws, Alderman Skip Cleaver, Alderman Linda Harriott-Gathright, Alderman Wilshire.
Alderman Patricia Klee, Alderman June M. Caron, and Alderman Tom Lopez were recorded absent.

A special meeting of the Board of Aldermen was held Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at 7:00 p.m. via Webex.
President Lori Wilshire presided; Deputy City Clerk Nicole Reyes recorded.

Prayer was offered by Deputy City Clerk Nicole Reyes; Alderman Skip Cleaver led in the Pledge to the
Flag.

Yes, thank you, Madam President. | too want to thank you and compliment you for arranging for public
comment. It was kind of disappointing that nobody from the public, | don’t know if they couldn't figure out
how to do it or just weren’t interested, just a couple of employees who took advantage of it. But thank you
for doing that.

So Madam President, thank you for —| could not say this because — and let me clearly say if | had my
chance to vote | would have voted for that contract. It was duly negotiated and fairly by the City and the
Local. By due to my son, the reason is that my son is on the Fire Department and because of - | challenge
and | will challenge the future of my vote because | got elected to vote. And | feel that Charter needs to be
changed that we all vote.
