the fentanyl traffic is growing, and | am sure you get the same reports | do on the arrests that are being
made and during this last year the Police Officers that were physically harmed and/or out of work because
of arrests that were made, it’s not an easy job. It is protecting the people of Nashua. It is a safety issue. |
for one am not going to have the State drive the safety of our citizens in Nashua.

Yes we are just voting for the changes to the golden copy and then the golden rod copy after we approve it
will be the final budget that we will then try to adopt of R-21-142.

solve problems including the problems that the State drops on us because partisan politics, people may be
trying to create a certain narrative about our performance as Aldermen. Regardless of how well we do
with our budget, the narrative is definitely going to be, we raised taxes, we spent more money.

With regard to the revenue side, it is an estimate in this budget book anyway. So to the extent grants don’t
come in as timely as we would like or want, that revenue would be offset by the grant, the amount of grants
that come in. So at the end there would not be surplus with that nor would there be appropriations in
excess of revenue.
