If | may speak to it? Thank you. First of all as the Mayor indicated, this first came to my attention because
someone contacted Alderman Pressly about going there and the park being so hot. We worked with DPW
and Parks & Rec around the canopy. After she left the Board, DPW and Parks & Rec and | continued to
search for a way to fund this. Capital Improvement Committee will be very happy to hear that this has
been funded because it has been a recurring item on their plate. So | hope that they take notice because
they also ranked it very high; but we just didn’t have the funds.
| would just say that after the formal announcement was made at Roby Park, DPW put up a laminated
drawing of what it would look like. And | have received many favorable comments, so | know families who
use the park are looking forward to the canopy being installed. Thank you.

| would like to speak to this please. Pine Hill Road when it was being investigated for the repaving that
would be required, they did some drilling, some core drilling to find out what they were facing underneath
like many of the streets in the City. They found that there was everything under these streets, so this extra
money will help them deal with the issues they see. Thank you.
