NASHUA POLICE COMMISSION AND

THE NASHUA POLICE SUPERVISORS ASSOCIATION

July 1, 2019-June 30, 2023 Contract

Article 6:
Employee Rights

Removal/update of language.

10-Vacation

Maximum Amount Taken During a Calendar Year:

Effective December 28, 2004, during a calendar year, members are limited to
taking their annual amount of accrued vacation leave, as specified under
paragraph “Accrual Rates” above. Effective July 1, 2016: An employee, in
their final year of employment, will be entitled to use the amount of vacation
time available in their current vacation balance with no cap.

11-Longevity

Employees with more than 10 years of services increased to $75.00 each year
after from $50.00.

13 — Clothing
Allowance

Any balance, up to $250.00, of the uniform allowance which has not been
expended by the end of the fiscal year, shall be paid to the employee.

21 — Personal Days

Increases the number of personal days from six (6) to seven (7) per year.

28 — Wages

FY20 — July 1-3%
FY21—July 1 — 3% Lieutenants. 2.75% Sergeants
FY22 —July 1-3%
FY23 — July 1 — 3% Lieutenants, 2.75% Sergeants

Specialty Pay-

Sergeants or Lieutenants, who are multilingual and can provide proof of
certifications from a recognized organization/institution, shall receive a 1.0%
differential pay of their current base pay. The organization/institution
providing the certification will need prior approval from the Chief of Police or
his/her designee. Sergeants or Lieutenants wishing to be certified will pay for
the certification up front and upon successful completion, will be reimbursed
by the Nashua Police Department for the aforementioned cost.
