First of all, | want to let Ms. Hohensee know that NRO-5, when | was on the Board of Aldermen, | had that
written because we had several members — Attorney Bolton might remember, Alderman McCarthy, Alderman
Wilshire might remember — who just didn’t show up and they were getting paid for not showing up in committee
meetings and the full Board. You know what? They’re supposed to be here representing the people. They
shouldn't be paid. If you don’t show up — you know, if you don’t show up at work, you don’t get paid. If you
don’t show up here to represent the people and vote on important legislation and being at committee meetings,
