I’d like to just tell you a quick little story. Thinking past 30 years, Jim, | see; Brian; Steve Bolton; Ernie Jette
who rented from me — 30 years ago | took a big shot in downtown Nashua. Everyone said it was crazy to
invest in downtown Nashua. You’re going to lose everything. It’s not worth your while. What I’m asking
everybody here is just take an open look at this thing. You know what? You've got to take chances in life.
Thirty years later, I’m still here and | plan on being around for a little longer.
With that, | welcome everybody, and hopefully we do the right thing for our great city of Nashua.

Petition for Street Discontinuance: a portion of Amherst Street, formerly utilized as part of the “Jug Handle”
which was reconfigured into a full-signalized intersection
MOTION BY ALDERMAN O’BRIEN TO GRANT THE PETITION FOR STREET DISCONTINUANCE

Quickly, there was a jug handle on the property now where the new mall that’s asking for this, and they had
given us land from for Charron Avenue, and it was an exchange, if you will. We forgot, at the time, to do the
street discontinuance. So that’s what we’re here for.
