Yes, just a couple of quick things. One, this process that is taking place in this contract is something
that the Board of Education has tried to do for many years. They had many issues with the step
process and now they are going with years of service, which will make it far easier going forward and
also be more equitable for teachers. Also, there is no one from the School Department or the Board
of Education here this evening because they have a Public Hearing on their budget this evening and
that’s going on as we speak.

Thank you Mr. President. Due to the employment of my daughter with the Nashua School
Department as a school nurse, | would like to declare a conflict and | will not be voting.
