The only other thing | will say is for the folks who are celebrating Easter this weekend, | just want to
wish everyone here and in the City a Happy Easter. | hope you have a great day with your families.
Alderman Dowd
| just want to mention that the Budget Committee is evaluating the Mayor’s Budget. We have had a
couple meetings so far and many other meetings are scheduled. The schedule is on the web site and
the entire Mayor’s budget is on the web site if anybody wants to get on and take a look at it. The
schedule, while | would like it to be locked in concrete, is not quite that solid. | found out tonight that we
are scheduled for the Board of Education’s budget, | believe it’s the 2" if | am not mistaken and | don’t
think they are ready. We won't know until tomorrow night. So | would keep an eye on the schedule and
| will let the Budget Committee members know that the schedule changes, if it changes. The schedule
is also available on-line for anyone that would like to see when the budget meetings are.

With respect to Alderman’s Jette’s question about the election. The process of having special elections
is recent. For the previous 100 years or so, the process was that the Board, either this Board or the
Board of Education got to elect members to fill in for unexpired terms. In my humble opinion, in that
100 years, the world did not end because of the process nor did we spend $30,000.00 on a special
election. So we might want to start looking there at a mechanism to go back.

Alderwoman Melizza-Golja
Yes, Strategic Planning is meeting Tuesday, April 3° and Ms. Lovering has told me that we do have a
quorum and we will be meeting at 5:30 in Room 208 which my hope is that that will then allow people
an opportunity at 7:00 to go up to the presentation. So Strategic Planning, Tuesday, April 3, 5:30 in
Room 208.
Alderman O’Brien
Yes, Infrastructure, Wednesday, tomorrow night the 28" 7:00 p.m. in the Aldermanic Chamber. All are
welcome.
Alderman Caron
There will be no personnel meeting next Monday due to a Budget Committee meeting that date.
