A special meeting of the Board of Aldermen was held Monday, April 23 2018, at 7:00 p.m. in the
Aldermanic Chamber.
President Brian S. McCarthy presided; City Clerk Patricia D. Piecuch recorded.
Prayer was offered by City Clerk Patricia D. Piecuch; Alderman Tom Lopez led in the Pledge to the Flag.
The roll call was taken with 12 members of the Board of Aldermen present; Alderwoman Shoshanna Kelly,
Alderwoman Mary Ann Melizzi-Golja and Alderman David C. Tencza were recorded absent.
PUBLIC HEARING
R-18-024
CREATING A SPECIAL REVENUE FUND FOR THE 201 MAIN STREET BUILDING
President McCarthy
The single item on the agenda this evening is the public hearing on Resolution R-18024, creating a Special
Revenue Fund for the 201 Main Street building. In keeping with our tradition, | will turn the hearing over to the
Chairman of the Budget Committee
As provided for in NRO 5-28, Alderman McCarthy gave a brief explanation on Resolution
R-18-024 prior to hearing testimony from the public.

This just creates a special revenue fund which is a parking place for the contributions to the endowment for the
performing arts center until all the other mechanisms are in place.
After twice calling for testimony in favor and in opposition of R-18-024, and hearing none, Chairman Dowd
declared the public hearing closed.
