SUBJECT: PURCHASE OF TWO (2) TRANSIT ELECTRIC HYBRID BUSES (VALUE $1,370,000)
DEPARTMENT: 181 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT; FUND: LOW-NO GRANT

Please see attached communication from Camille Pattison, Transportation Manager, dated October 9,
2018 for information related to this contract award.

Pursuant to § 5-84 Special purchase procedures A. (5) Purchases from a sole manufacturer, where it is
determined to be more efficient and to reduce costs of maintenance of additional repair parts, supplies or
services

The Transportation Manager and the Purchasing Department recommend the award of the contract to
Gillig LLC of Livermore, CA in the amount of $1,370,000. This purchase is contingent upon Board of
Aldermen approval of CERF funds.
