Board of Aldermen 11-13-2018 Page 7
Our increase in our government sustenance last year in January, we ended up getting only a few
dollars because the Medicare increase took most of the increase that they gave us. So we are ona
limited budget, a limited income and we are asking that you consider raising the elderly tax exemption.
I’d also like to ask in support of our veterans that you may consider also extending the veteran’s tax
credit, for our honored veterans. | thank you for the opportunity to speak to you all tonight and hope
that you carefully consider my suggestion to you all. Have a good evening and thank you.
