making the changes over at Lincoln Park. He was a very dedicated gentleman to the youth of our city. Also,
my condolences to Alderman Lopez in the passing of his mother. Thank you.

| would like to echo the praise for the DPW, especially given that we had a snow emergency that was
supposed to last until 6:00 p.m., and it was pushed back to noon which helps businesses. | can tell by the
number of phone calls | didn’t get how good a job they did also. That’s always very encouraging. Also my
condolences to our colleague, Alderman Lopez’s family.

Alderwoman Melizzi-Golja
To echo everyone else’s praises to DPW, thank you. We often have issues on the hills, and | received no
phone calls so thank you. Also, condolences to Alderman Lopez and his family. Thank you.
Alderman McGuinness
The Department of Public Works has done a great job these last two storms. Mr. Mayor, who is ultimately
running the show, they have done a great job. And, I’m very sorry, Alderman Lopez.
Alderman Moriarty
Opera New Hampshire is having their annual Valentine Day opera. It’s going to be on February 25. La traviata,
I’m told is one of the most popular opera plays. It’s at the Stockbridge Theatre in Pinkerton Academy at 7:00 p.m. You
can go on line at Opera NH. | would also like to express my condolences to Alderman Lopez.
Alderman O’Brien
|, too, would like to thank DPW. It’s a thankless job. Looking on the social media, some people do complain. |
know the hours that they work. They are doing a fine job. They try their best. Thank you, you guys. You
made us proud. You kept the city open. Second, I’d like to thank every single city resident that shoveled a
hydrant in this particular snowstorm. You have done a lot to protect the safety of your neighbors. | encourage
every abled body person that could do so, shovel. Take care of it. If not, our fire department can get it but it’s
good when the citizens step forward. Third, | do have another loss. Mary Ann Knowles, who was a
representative from Hudson. A good friend of mine, very active in politics and very active in the local as well.
She will be missed. And to my good friend, my brother, Alderman Lopez, in the passing of his mother. My
condolences. It’s very tough to go through. | did it myself. And to my lovely wife, Diane. We're here. Happy

| just want to express my gratitude to everybody who expressed condolences. It was a devastating loss to our
family. We took a lot of comfort from people reaching out both in the public and the board of aldermen. We
really appreciate the flowers we received, and we were really touched when President of the Board McCarthy,
Mayor Donchess and Sue Lovering attended the wake. It was the night before a blizzard, and it was up in
Epsom. We really never had that expectation, but it meant a lot to my family that you were there.
Also, | want to express gratitude to the work of Department of Public Works for clearing the snow and for the
city to take the time to clear the Heritage Trail. | Know there’s been a lot of public pushback of people
frustrated not being able to get out of their driveway, but for people who cannot get out of their apartment to get
