MOTION BY ALDERMAN CLEMONS TO ACCEPT THE APPOINTMENTS BY THE MAYOR AS
READ AND REFER THEM TO THE PERSONNEL/ADMINISTRATIVE AFFAIRS COMMITTEE

These are all reappointments. Don’t we normally ask if anyone wants them to appear?
President McCarthy
Yes we do. Does anybody want these people to appear for an interview at the Personnel Committee? Okay.
Alderman Deane
So what do we do now?
President McCarthy
We will send them to committee and have them come back.
Alderman Moriarty
Traditionally it is the home address that’s listed. It doesn’t have to be, maybe it’s just my assumption and that
may be incorrect that people use their home addresses here. The last two, Sy Mahfuz, | don’t think he lives at
229 % Main Street, Nashua. | guess we could use a business address, but it sort of seems more consistent if
they all had home addresses listed. People who live outside the city and contribute, that’s fine with me; might
as well take credit for it.
President McCarthy
| believe the address is given that way because the requirements of membership are that you must have a
business or live in the downtown.
Alderman Moriarty
For that committee?
President McCarthy
Yes. And Mr. LaFleur does indeed live on West Pearl Street.
