education of our students here in Nashua for very little pay and very little benefits. This contract tries to at least
catch up a little bit so that they can be better compensated. Many of the para’s are required by State and
federal law, so | ask that we support it.
Alderman Schoneman
I’m on the Budget Committee and | supported it there and I’ll support this contract here. | think that we get
great value from the para-educators. | think they do a great job; they help out in the classroom. They’re
probably more hands-on with students than anybody. They don’t make a lot of money. I’m very grateful to them
for their service to the city and to the children, and | will support this contract.
