After designing facilities for multiple years as a project engineer, Mr. Hambardzumian took on
the role of Project Manager, in the Civil Engineering Group at Gale Associates Inc. Projects
ranged from Professional Sports Complexes to Public Parks. Responsibilities include
management of project team, design, permitting and construction administration.
¢ Medford High School, Medford, MA — Responsible for the planning, design and
construction administration of the existing athletic facilities, including two in-filled multi-
purpose artificial turf athletic fields, new parking lot, perimeter walkways, ball safety
netting system, athletic field lighting, electrical and communication services and drainage
improvements.
¢ DeFazio Park, Needham, MA — Provided design for a large park which includes three
natural turf baseball fields, one natural turf multipurpose field, two synthetic turf fields, a
running track and inset multipurpose field. Additional improvements include athletic field
lighting, parking lot, pavilion building and landscaping improvements.
e Athletic Facilities Inventory and Assessment, Ashland, MA — Provided Inventory and
assessment of all existing athletic facilities in Ashland. Contacted user groups and
residents to obtain insight regarding deficiencies of facilities. Provided a facilities report
listing all fields and amenities at each site and recommendations for improvement.
e Master Plan, Sudbury, MA — Provide a master plan for renovation of parks and athletic
facilities in Sudbury. Report included facilities assessment, recommendation for
improvements, site plans and cost estimates for the proposed renovations.
e Lincoln School, Rehoboth, MA — Responsible for the construction administration of phase
two of a three phase project at Faxon Farm. The project includes planning, design,
permitting and construction administration of a synthetic turf athletic field, six tennis
courts, redevelopment of a natural turf field, extensive parking and bus routing and a
new maintenance/storage facility.
¢ Newton South High School, Newton, MA — Provided planning design and permitting of
the entire athletic campus. The project included a complete overhaul and re-organization
of their athletic program to include the installation of two multi-purpose synthetic turf
fields, one 90-ft dedicated natural turf baseball diamond, one 60-ft softball diamond with
multi-purpose athletic field and a new track facility with 1200 seat grandstand, press box
