Re: Ford F550 Chip Truck in the amount of $81,287 funded from account 81500 Vehicles/Trust/FY21
CERF
MOTION BY ALDERMAN HARRIOTT-GATHRIGHT TO ACCEPT, PLACE ON FILE, AND APPROVE THE
PURCHASE OF ONE (1) 2021 FORD F550 SUPER DUTY 4 X 4 SOUTHCO CHIP TRUCK FROM CUSTOM
ONE TRUCK SOURCE OF HOOKSETT, NH, IN THE AMOUNT OF $81,287. FUNDING WILL BE
THROUGH DEPARTMENT 177 PARKS & RECREATION; FUND: TRUST; ACTIVITY: CERF, BY ROLL
CALL.
ON THE QUESTION
Mayor Donchess
And | believe we have Mr. Ibarra again, right?
Mr. Ibarra
That is correct, thank you Mr. Mayor. So Park & Recs Department has a 550 on the CERF for replacement in
Fiscal ’21. And Custom One Truck of Hooksett provided a quote based off the Sourcewell contract, which is
the equivalent of a State bid. This vehicle is used, or will be used, in conjunction with the boom truck in their
wood chipping operation. So they will be carting around the chips as they clean up the trees that have been
blown down during any storm. The old one replacement will again be kept as a back line until it is not feasible
to pump any more funding into it to keep it on the road.
Mayor Donchess
Discussion? Alderwoman Harriott-Gathright.
Alderman Harriott-Gathright
Just curious how old is the one that’s going to be on the back burner?
Mr. Ibarra
That’ a 12, it has just shy of 70,000 miles on it. If you would like more historical usage of the vehicle, John
Stewart is here. He can chime in if he’d like.
Alderman Harriott-Gathright
So | was just wondering if it was something like a 10 year vehicle, what it was, how long we’ve had that.
Mayor Donchess
So the answer is 8 years.
Alderman Harriott-Gathright
8 years, ok, thank you.
Mr. Ibarra
You're welcome.
