MEMBRANE CURING COMPOUND
A. Membrane curing compound shall be pigmented and conform to the
requirements of ASTM C309.
GROUT
A.
All grout shall be non-shrink, non-metallic, non-gas forming, pre-blended and
ready for use requiring only the addition of water.
CONCRETE MIX DESIGN
A.
Mix design shall be established by the concrete supplier based on a proven
strength record for concrete made with similar ingredients and conform to ACI
211, except as specified herein, using approved materials.
All concrete shall have a compressive strength of at least 4,000 pounds per
square inch at 28 days unless otherwise noted.
Maximum Slump
1. General - 4 inches
2. Floors, and walls - 3 inches
Except where otherwise specified, all concrete exposed to the weather shall be
air-entrained in the range of 5 percent to 7 percent.
FLOOR SUMP
A.
Sideslope riser building floor sump(s) shall be cast-in-place monolithically with
the floor slab. The sump top opening shall be as indicated on the Drawings.
Provide a minimum 1-inch wide lip all around the sump of sufficient depth to
support grating flush with the floor surface. Grating shall be structural fiberglass
floor grating.
SUMP GRATING
A.
The sump grating shall be designed for a normal live load of 100 pounds per
square foot. Maximum deflection under a 100 pounds per square foot load shall
not exceed 14-inch or 1/250th of the span, whichever is less.
Individual grating panels shall not exceed a total weight of 100 pounds unless
otherwise shown or approved.
The walking surface of the grating shall have a slip resistant finish texture.
